The NCAA is threatening to remove North Carolina from consideration to host championship games for the foreseeable future if the state does not repeal a law regulating public restrooms, locker rooms and showers on the basis of biological sex.

The collegiate sports league will announce championship locations from 2018 to 2022 on April 18, and it said North Carolina will not be among them unless HB2 is repealed.

Start another association, one that takes a percentage of TV and concessions and pays for athlete expenses, and bonuses for academic achievement.

NC is in the final four this year. What is the NCAA going to do to them that matters? In any case, I’d guess a lot of people whose teams lost are now rooting for NC because of the Social Justice Warriors.

Sheriff Taylor might be spinning but Andy Griffith would have been fine with it. Griffith = very left wing!

I have had people who knew Griffith tell me he was more like the “Lonesome Rhodes” character then the “Sheriff Taylor” character.

Please North Carolina stand up for common sense and decency. Stand up for the majority of your citizens. Tell the NCAA to piss off!

Actually you should sue the NCAA for trying to subvert the democratic process, the rule of law and the will of the people. What right does this overly ego inflated organization have to tell a State what legislation it can or can not have?

There’s a first or second round NCAA basketball tournament event in a NC city about every other year.

The ACC is also getting in on the act and blowing smoke that they’ll avoid NC in the future for any of their tournaments which is funny since their HQ is in Greensboro.

Let’s re-word the NCAA declaration to remove HB-2. -

“Women’s privacy will not be honored or allowed at any and all NCAA events.”

Is the NCAA a tax exempt organization?

Someone of national stature, someone believable need to challenge the legitimacy of transgenderism as a human right. I see it as a psychological abnormality.

Local Charlotte “news” has been spewing a “new AP report” that claims NC would lose 4 BILLION dollars over 10 years in lost revenue due to the HB2 law. And further that “some NC business associations” have projected losses DOUBLE the 4 BILLION claimed by the AP.

This is how they spread propaganda. More “Fake News.” More destruction of our society. And they are winning.

I don’t know if they’re tax exempt but they make billions of dollars, so they should be paying taxes.

You’re right....but it’s not about if or not they have spine...obvious they don’t want to enforce laws or bother in any way that might hurt their positions....really is all about their political positions...not what’s the right thing to do for the country....too many still in office that need to get booted!

Since so many Sports Franchises have gone political, it is high time to ABOLISH their Anti-Trust Exemption.

The NCAA makes an ENORMOUS amount of money, but does not pay any tax under the exemption for a charitable organization.

If the NCAA is going to start participating in political activities, shouldn’t it lose its tax exemption?

If the NCAA lost its tax exemption and started paying taxes, it would help reduce the federal deficit.

Install cameras in the showers, locker rooms, and coaches offices and broadcast everything LIVE on TV and the big screens in the GYM.
