Have and have had a job for quite a long time. As long as I show up and do it, they don’t obsess over nonsense. Certain jobs, I wouldn’t take because of this issue. It’s a quality-of-life thing.

So do I.... I think it was 1986 flying back to CA from NY that we decided we WOULD NOT dress for the return trip as we did for the one to NY...first time ever not dressed up for flying. It used to be the special outfit COMPLETE with hat and gloves. Boy - do I feel old!!!!
A boss I had in CA flew for TWA and anyone not following the rules of proper dress (and other rules) for passes given out by him would never have gotten another one - and perhaps would have seen a firing in their future. I never flew on a pass..
