“Single provider” = “Enslave thy neighbor.” No wonder the Democrats love it.

Yes, nobody is "perfect"; that's true.

OTOH, this article is worse than just being off XXX of millions on a guesstimate of an election.

And WHY some posters, here, of all places, fall for this claptrap, is beyond me.

I never thought Trump was a joke, and the GOP is the stupid party, but not stupid enough to pass single payer.

OK.
That takes care of the parasites who contribute zero to the financial and social health of the country.
Presumably coming out of the clearly identified welfare segment of the Federal budget.

Now let's talk about the contributors; the citizens with a job, who pay endless taxes and fees (checked your phone bill lately?), directly and indirectly and who expect to return to health care equivalent to the (working) system before O-criminalCare.

And who, incidentally expect the trillions stolen from Social Security by Obama to fund O'losercare to be replaced as the legal beneficiaries of the Social Security system.

The odds of restitution are slim. Even the funds stolen by the elites of the swamp are likely to be gone forever, if my guess is right.

And, of course, the odds of prosecution for one of the biggest frauds in U.S. history by previous and current permanent residents of the swamp is very unlikely.

“He was right about Trump winning when you all thought he was a joke.

Yes but he was right for the wrong reasons. He kept talking about the “monster vote” that Trump would win because so many more voters were coming out to vote for Trump that hadn’t ever or for a long time voted. It appears now that the same people voted but enough switched from Obama to Trump in the right places, not a whole bunch of new voters (except maybe Florida being the exception where there did appear to be many new voters).

It appears Sundance was “right” but for the “wrong” reason(s) as it were. Don’t get me wrong I really love the Conservative Treehouse site and one gets unique coverage and analysis there. Many times Sundance is correct but nobody bats a thousand and in this case I think he/she is not fully correct on this analysis/opinion.

“He’s right about this as well. Politically it will work due to simplicity of the narrative and the failure of the GOP to provide a solution.””

All I’m seeing now from sites I trust that have pretty much been correct until now (and that doesn’t include the NYT, Wash Compost, etc. because they’ll ALWAYS deliver the anti-Trump spin) is that Ryan may seriously be replaced. May not happen (now anyways) but I didn’t hear this talked about even right after the election when many in the same untrustworthy sources (again lamestream media) were saying Ryan wouldn’t survive as Speaker yet he has-—until now).

The media will always spin to the negative for republicans. If the bill would’ve passed the spin would’ve been that gop failed to change anything of significance yet worse were now lying as if they did. And if gop had passed a real repeal the spin would’ve been gop killing everyone by taking away their health insurance.

Surely we can see by now that we can’t use as one of our reasons to do or not do something is because of how the media will portray it as they will ALWAYS portray it as negative on the gop.

Trump’s monstervote was real as evidenced by the state’s he won that the GOP hasn’t won in ages. However, it was offset by #nevertrumpers and other GOP types refusing to vote for him including the GOP trying to sink him with the access Hollywood tape. You can’t factor treason into predictions.

One of the strongest and earliest proponents of “universal health care” (among other names), was Dr. Quentin Young, Chicago, Obama’s personal physician for many years and a covert/identified member of the Communist Party USA (Chicago Hearings, 1965 and 1968, HCUA).

He also created and headed two fronts led by CPUSA members, Physicians for National Health Plan (PNHP) and one whose initials are roughly IPNHP. You can find information about Young and then bluelinks to his two groups at the database website www.keywiki.org. Just SEARCH for “Quentin Young” and it will lead you to the rest of his groups.

“Single payer will destroy the medical profession.”

Yes it will.

Right now, only the best, brightest, and most dedicated high school graduates have a track for becoming medical doctors.

They must commit to continuing their education for a time which is equal in length to what they have just completed. That is, they are only half way there. It will be 12 more years.

During a large portion of these next 12 years, they will be required to spend 80+ hours per week pursuing their education. This will continue through residency, additional training, and the first several years of practicing medicine. When they START their career as doctors, they will have completely sacrificed their 20’s and at least part of their 30’s. And most will be more than half-a-million dollars in debt.

For specialists and surgeons, the sacrifice is greater. For trauma surgeons — you know the ones who save the lives of people who are mostly in danger of dying because of their choice to abuse drugs and alcohol, or are victims of such people — the commitment looks overwhelming even to most doctors. It requires superhuman abilities.

Being a doctor means almost no chance for a normal romantic, social, or family life. Or, if these things happen, they happen very late in life. Huge, huge sacrifice.

Anyone with this kind of work ethic, intelligence, and dedication could do literally anything and make a fortune. It would be almost impossible for it to fail.

(For example, if a person took an unskilled labor type job, like McDonalds at its average hourly wage of $9/hour, and was able to work 80 hours per week, they would earn about 900 per week. If this person saved the portion above the median US income, even with 2 weeks of unpaid leave they would be able to save about $10-12K per year. Investing this with very moderate risk should make them a millionaire in 20-25 years when they are in their early 40’s. Of course, most people that dedicated would also work smarter and make a higher hourly rate. But this is worst case scenario.)

So, tell me why anyone would want to be a doctor under Obamacare or single-payer? And how, exactly, will the quality of medicine not go down?

Actually, average, not median, income is what I was thinking of.

In 2016 the average single and head of household made in the mid 30’s.

Trump just needs to submit a bill to the House saying that Obamacare will be repealed totally on Dec 1 2017. Thats all. By pass traitordumbazz Paul Ryan. All further legislation he wants should be submitted straight from the WH.

Cut ryan out of the loop as much as possible.

Trump pretty famously said he didn’t think (in 2016) the time was ripe for single payer—which he has in other circumstances favored.

By 2018, with his aimed-for new alliance with the Dems instead of that pesky Freedom Caucus AND an increasingly likely Dem majority again in the House, will his socialized healthcare dream be realized? Like Nixon as the one who could open up China?

yep Dems are going to take the ball and deep down we know the uniparty mostly wants single payer. Chamber of commerce sure does.

I’m doing a lot of praying because the republican leadership in congress are the biggest buck of spineless cucks in history. they do not represent the people. I can only go back to Dennis Hastert and wonder how many of these people are nefarious characters.

say what you want about Pelosi but they got it done

The Democrats have so much faith in a law with no severity clause as to believe they did intend failure. The is no reason during the interval between now and the next several months when failure is insured not to advance a severity clause as an amendment. I would love to see a vote on that issue alone.
