this has nothing to do with net energy.

it is about an alternate source of
...liquid fuel... usable in cars.

the goal is to make OPEC irrelevant.

if coal to liquids
(or any other similar idea)
threw 90% of the energy away,
that would be fine with me,
if the resulting product was cheap enough
to compete with OPEC.

by the way, do you work for Exxon or TIRPO?
just curious!

Yes, per the article. Environmental wackos in CA import it,from Brazil instead of buying it in the American Midwest because it is,some how more “carbon cleaner” if grown from cane sugar in Brazil. Naturally that costs more to feel better about it.

So we,should ban cotton, tobacco, etc. any thing that grows that isn’t meant to be eaten is verboten?
