Not with the border left open. All that will happen is you will double the number of Dem senators. Drive the central valley. Most of these people are not going to vote GOP.
The way they have it drawn, the Mexico border would not be under control of the Western California liberals. The coast from Orange County down would be part of Eastern California. It doesn’t matter what you think the central valley “looks like” when you drive through it, what matters is that it has historically voted Republican. If we did not have liberals controlling the new state government, we would clear out all the illegals in the Eastern California area as fast as ICE would allow.
