Your post makes no sense. You mention your uncle the veterinarian saying He also is adamant in his belief that a dog will *rarely** get a 2nd opportunity to bite a human and *****N-E-V-E-R***** gets a 3rd chance. But that is not what this article is about. The owner taped the dogs muzzle for BARKING, not for biting. And indeed had the dog been bitten it should have been euthanized. I seriously doubt your uncle would condone taping its muzzle shut.Biting wasn't my point -- but, then, you probably knew that.
My point was --- as others have more eloquently noted --- that the punishment is ridiculous in comparison to sentences that people get for actions towards other human beings.
They are, after all, just dogs...
And just what WAS his punishment?
A five years sentence....on paper only.
