Wow, that’s really going to help.
Yeah, don’t know how smartit is for Trump to attack the people he is attacking, unless his goal is a 15% approval rating.
Hummm, does make you wonder? A deal for the sake of a deal isn’t really a deal worth having, is it?
I am a yuge Trump supporter, but in this case he is WRONG! The blame rests on Ryan, Priebus and the ever present Demonrats disguised as “moderate” Republicans. Trump needlessly squanders political capital by trashing the very same members of Congress who are his most consistent supporters.
Did you actually READ the RynoCare bill?
Please do so now, and then apologize to the Freedom Caucus and THANK THEM for saving you and the Republic from having RynoCare hung around our necks.
You mean the same HFC that had the power to deny Ryan the speakership but voted him in anyway??
Well, he’s right. Could have taken a big bite out of Obamacare, but FC blocked it on the gamble that Democrat support for it will collapse as the system collapses. It will collapse and its support will collapse, but the reality is the only changes they’ll accept are single payer/public option.
Imagine if a Progressive Caucus blocked Obamacare in 2009, insisting on Medicare for all and nothing less. We should be so lucky, but Democrats play the long game, taking gains where they can get them, while the GOP is the stupid party.
Anyone still think Ryan is going anywhere? Yeah right it’s all the FC’s fault. Ryan keeps this POS locked up then tries to shove it through but hey it’s all the FC’s fault. BS. They could have fixed a couple of the worst flaws and gotten FC on board but didn’t. Had they just thrown insurance sold across state lines that would been enough in
the end but no..
Do you think he does not have a plan? Do you not think he knows Ryan was not his ally? Do you not think he has no standby plan? The fact they did not re-run the 2015 repeal does not tell you something? Did you think he was going to drain the swamp with the willing assistance of the swamp to be drained?
Has everyone here gone s short sighted they have to Join Ryan in this whole mess? Long ball friends, long ball.
Trump will be down to 40% in a week. He’s crapping on the very people who were enthusiastic and joining at the hip with those who wanted to destroy his candidacy. Dumb. Just dumb.
Let the truth come out and the chips fall where they may.
The Bush’s came into office with 90% approval ratings they mean almost nothing at this point.
The failure to scale back Obama care is because of them and if they feel it was such the right thing to do why should they worry.
But Trump is not going to just stop pushing repeal and replace and needs to soften up his opposition.
VETERANS are smiling that we won’t be forced into the VA gulag in that bill! What kind of person stands before CMH winners while his bill forces veterans into the VA gulag. No other group targeted in his Management Amendment. Thank God again for Rep Meadows. A bill we have to pass to see what’s in it wasn’t well received the last time.
Well, it is a true statement.
Trump was going to do it piecemeal, now Obamacare sits unchanged.
Trump values loyalty, and now knows he can’t depend on any from the Republicans.
Oh geeez.
The president would have been better off sitting down with senators involved with the issue like Cotton and Lee and Paul and coming up with a bill the Senate liked and then selling it to the House, rather than vice versa. The big issue is the Senate parliamentarian, not House procedures.
What we got was Ryan and his secret backers writing a bill and trying to dictate it to the House with scare tactics on an absurd schedule. And senators saying Ryan didn’t do his homework on the Senate parliamentarian.
This was all a power play by Ryan and his backers.
1. We were told that the GOP House bill could not include a repeal and comprehensive overhaul of ObamaCare because they didn't have 60 votes in the Senate to pass such a bill. Because of this limitation, the House drafted a half-assed "fix" bill that left most of ObamaCare intact.
2. Now, we have the President of the United States and many of the supporters of the Ryan bill criticizing the Freedom Caucus members and their supporters for allowing the Federal funding of Planned Parenthood to continue under ObamaCare.
There is no way in hell the U.S. Senate would ever approve a health care reform bill that defunded Planned Parenthood. There aren't even 50 REPUBLICANS in the U.S. Senate who would support such a thing.
Sorry, Mr. President -- but I'm calling BULLSHIT on this one.
Ugh. He still just doesn’t get it. Apparently either doesn’t care or can’t tell the difference between repeal and rename.
And yes, I find it offensive that his first attempt at legislation has him going after the Freedom Caucus, Jim DeMint, etc. Also, his bogus arguments and claims about Obamacare 2.0 and its passage are doubly offensive.
Other than on immigration, Bannon isn’t looking like he’s got a clue increasingly either. And we know that Priebus and Ryan are foul.
Man, am I just in a snarly mood about all this. I am increasingly feeling as if our country is sunk.
Trump was for PP before he was against it. He is using it as dog whistle to get the pro life crowd barking. But it will end up being funded just like NPR etc.
