You are on the same page. When Newt speaks people listen and remember what he says. I cannot remember what the other members of the panel just said. Need to watch it again!

Newt was brilliant today. He took the media out back and paddled them good.

I thought Lyin Ryan had just been in President’s office, shortly before Ryan announced vote was cancelled.

Maybe I have the timeline wrong?

Wallace is lying again, or doesn’t know what he’s talking about, conflating the issue of “pre-existing conditions”.

Jordan laid it out. You lower the price of coverage for health Americans by getting rid of “community rating” and provide coverage for the (very few) “pre-x’s” with High Risk Pools.

Walice: but then you’ll only be insuring healthy people.......

DUH!!!!

That’s what I’ve been saying, and exactly what “insurance” does. What we have now, is not insurance.

Those millions of “people who will lose their ‘insurance’ without Obamacare” AREN’T PAYING FOR IT!

I agree completely with Jordan’s take on the issues, but disagree with his defeat of the initial passage, it truly was an intermural battle which made Republicans, HFC and the President look stupid, weak and petty. They could have completely changed it at several points.

That title and docket number: HB1628...THE AMERICAN HEALTH CARE ACT OF 2017 would not have been enacted in the same form as emerged from the House.

The Senate certainly would have modified it, especially with lots of pressure from the President and the public. If that wasn’t enough, the bill would have to go back to the House for concurrence, it could have bounced back and forth for the entire session and either get killed or passed.

Then if the President didn’t like it, HE could kill it.

At least the bill would still be in play (and it might well still be)

No matter what bill comes from the House, with the blessing of the Freedom Caucus...that same process will apply.

——he had seven years to do it——

I would argue that the problem was not Ryan’s and especially not Trumps.

During that noted time, many diverse bills or elements of bills were developed by lots of Congress Critters. The problem as it developed was not having a bill, but having too many. I argue that until the actual legislative process was applied, the integration and rejection process could not occur.

There were even bills developed in total by people that left the congress. Who knows what elements of those survived.

Since the bill was not actually killed and still exists and can be modified, the process is still ongoing.

I saw that Wall ass is trying to make the entire show about him. He’s so pathetic. He needs to be banished to MSNBC.

Repeal it and then what? The GOP is like the dog who catches the car. If we go back to the status quo ante, how will this play politically in 2018? How easy will it be to come up with an alternative acceptable to the HFC and still be able to be passed by Congress?

Most Rep congressmen campaigned on repeal and REPLACE. Jordan said that there would be a two year period for transitioning from Obamacare to something else.

There’s so much pressure up here in the DC bubble, there’s just huge money pressure from special interests that just comes heaping down on your head.

But I represent the people, and the people are overwhelmingly saying we want a full repeal of this thing because they want to go shop for their own healthcare again. [They are saying] We just want a normal life back like it was ten years ago when premiums were under half of what they are today.

God bless Rep Bratt

THIS ^^ is what POTUS needs to tweet about....NOT about supporting traitor Ryan.

RG, while I remain hopeful of big stories with smoking guns, I can’t be Charlie Brown any longer...when a story is hinted, it essentially telegraphs the next move, and Soros posse swoops in, I suspect, and pulls out the football.

I would like to see for once, just the aftermath of releasing tapes, data, phone converse, instead of rumors of future events.

True, the dems will keep trying to lie thier way out of every bad situation they find themselves in. Question is how successful will they be.?

It is said “If it isn’t broke do not fix it.” Obamacare is broken and needs fixed. As the hard working Americans continue to pay more and more for healthcare they will become more and more resentful towards these career politicians. Politicians will be blamed. Pelosi is “certified crazy” if she doesn’t think her Party is not going to be blamed for Obamacare’s failures.

Lots of questions arise: 1) how and whom to trust ? Advisors; Priebus, Bannon, Price etc. Congressional leaders; Ryan, or Freedom Caucus, Meadows, Cruz, Paul etc.

Time for FReppers to look in the mirror.

Do you like More or Less Fed. G'ment control of your life

Who in the above list has a history you can use to make an INFORMED decision. Also, What is a "Conservative" - More Fed. G'ment or Less Fed. G'ment

Most of these Dems. Schiff, Pelosi, Schummer, the one’s in the media look creepy to me. They do not look like normal Americans we know in our community. Their eyes tell the story and most of them look like something is very wrong with them. Maybe the best word is “disturbed.”

Really good post. This is what happens when your party stands for nothing except vote buying and searching for overt power 24/7. It effects everything you do even how you look. One can only lie so much....

My point is that the GOP let Trump down by failing to reach a consensus on policy. We can point fingers on who to blame or argue about substance, but the real issue is the failure of the GOP to come together behind a consensus bill. The Dems always come together with one voice and would never embarrass a Dem President.

We know that the GOPe and many conservatives hate Trump. They would have preferred losing to Hillary than see Trump in the WH. Now they are undermining Trump to ensure he is a one term President.

Maybe Wallace and Ryan should be forced to early retirement.
Wallace must still have good ratings enough to continue but people get sick of hearing people who are “know it alls.”
Ryan may not have enough credibility and trust remaining to be an effective leader.

Just repealing it and returning to what we had in 2008 would be 1,000% better than socialist ObozoCare/RyanCare/UniPartyCare.

Then, simply enact Tort reform, HSA and Interstate purchasing/selling would be light years better and a move to true Free Market system.

It’s not rocket science.

It’s a matter of wanting to do what’s right.

The Democrats could be called the “Science Fiction Party.”
They could also be lumped with Hitchcock or even the Twighlight Zone T.V. shows in politics or the Mainstream Media.
