Ah! This story appeared in a Phonix paper to attempt to discredit and debunk Sheriff Joe’s “Seattle Operation:”
It identifies the guy on the tape who was acting in Montgomery’s behalf as billionaire Tim Blixseth, whose ex-wife worked with Montgomery.
Take it for what it’s worth but this link includes an email from Carl Cameron saying that the promised informatino was not forthcoming and basically calling Montgomery a fraud.
I’ve just skimmed it but apparently the investigation that we hear being discussed here did happen, but unravelled and nothing came of it. The bigger question is why, and why now is this back in the spotlight.

When a person knows all their actions are monitored, and much of their past is known, and they hear of a key witness to a case being murdered with a bullet between the eyes the day before they were to appear to testify, would that not put a chill on things?
