Al Franken made a strong case for himself during the Gorsuch confirmation hearings, but in a last-minute surge, his Democrat Senate colleague Kamala Harris has stolen the crown (or dunce cap) from his grasp. The magnitude of this achievement should not be underestimated: after all, Franken is a man whose distinctive competence is beclowning himself.

I have two friends who recently retired from the California Attorney General's office and worked for her a couple of levels down the organization. They tell me she is personable but a shallow, slow and unclear thinker. Dense enough to not know what she doesn't know. Propped up by career staff and political handlers. In other words, meets all qualifications for a Democrat senator, as evidenced by this insane perspective on Gorsuch.
It's going to have to be Kamala Harris. It's almost like Obama with female plumbing and other enhancements.
They will think she can easily grab Obama's third term after an unfortunate 4-year interruption by an "illegitimate" President.
