President Donald Trump said on Friday that he was disappointed that a conservative faction in the House of Representatives blocked his healthcare legislation and said "we learned a lot about loyalty" from the effort.

Speaking in the Oval Office after a stunning political setback, Trump said the healthcare effort was a victim of stalwart Democratic opposition and any future healthcare legislation would likely need Democratic support.

He also said he was surprised and disappointed by the opposition from the House Freedom Caucus, a group of conservatives who prevented Republicans from using their majority in the House to pass the legislation.

Asked if he felt betrayed by the Freedom Caucus, Trump said he did not.

What a bunch of clowns. Now Trump knows WHO he has to campaign against in 2018.

Yes, these conservatives refused to be forced to sign Paul Ryan's RINO bill! We should teach them a lesson by purging the house of all conservatives so Ryan can have greater freedom to do crucial RINO stuff like comprehensive immigration reform, blocking tax cuts, and undermining Trump!

Point being...they’ve enabled Obamacare for the past 7 years. You blame it on stupidity, I have a hard time believing that.

Good grief, if it is stupidity, we have no chance.

Thank you for supporting Brat. All these RINOs can drop dead. We’ve had this discussion before. Always stand up for what is right. These duplicitous elites can put a sock in it.

maybe if Ryan had presented a conservative bill instead of a obammy care lite?

I thought the conservatives who voted, "No," had some points that would make the bill acceptable when added.

If you are the authors, don't you fix it to the point that you get, "Yes," enough times to pass it?

I wasn’t impressed with how they reacted over these last few weeks; they didn’t act like people who wanted to repeal Obamacare at all.

Well then, the answer to your concerns would be to put forth a bill that does nothing BUT repeal O'IDONTCARE, just to see how they react! Since they did it for show about 50 times, just pull any one of those out, blow the dust off and run with it. Let US see what happens. To get here you will first have to rid US of Lyin Ryan.

Enacting Ryan Care would have saved the ‘RATS from further nearterm electoral degradation and transferred future negative effects to the Republicans & Trump.

I don't know if you realize it but you just put your thumb on the reason for this debacle. The stupid party very well intended to relieve the leftist from their burden, purposely. bigly. Just look at the ground swell of GOPee'r's storming thread to thread. I can smell their checked pants from all the way over here!

Trump had been correctly pushing that line but he was doing so as a fake, because the reality is the governing party owns health care - full stop. The reason the GOP on all of those House seats was in large part the failures of Obamacare. Now however the voters will understandably look at the governing party as no fixing the problem. The idea that it will be seen as a Democrat problem is just incorrect.

Here’s a suggestion to DC
Repeal Obamacare.
Forget replacing it.

With 2 caveats, Include preexisting conditions and adult children living in your basement are still covered.

The ONLY two things ever hyped by the dems and the ONLY two things people liked.

Include these TWO things and REPEAL the rest, and it will win the approval of the people, hence congress critters.

It isn’t fake news that the “conservatives” stopped a bill which would begin the rollback. Now Planned Barrenhood will continue to use taxpayers funds for abortion. The requirement that one buy insurance still is there.

There is no way a bill enthusiastically supported by the Lovers of Losing will get Senate approval. Zero chance. Therefore, Obamacare remains in full force.

Reagan said that when one can only get half a loaf, take it and come back for more later. Of course, Reagan was a wise man so it doesn’t apply to the LoLs.

You’re welcome. Come back for more. Since when do “conservatives” join the Democrats?

So given a bowl of delicious cereal wetted with urine, you point at the cereal and say "Eat, it's good!" ? The conservatives stopped a bill that kept the urine from our throats. I thank them; I stand with them. And I will continue to do so.

Of course your example is dramatically inappropriate.

Ronaldus Magnus tells us the proper strategy - If half a loaf in all you can get, take it and come back later for more.

What I would like answered is “How do ‘conservatives’ expect to pass a bill acceptable to them and that would have a chance in the Senate. Even this one was expected to lose.

So we can expect to have ALL of Obamacare for a long time, long enough to bite the Republicans in the ass in 2018.

I think my analogy is spot on. And I would not accept half a loaf soaked in urine either. We'll have to differ on what we individually find palatable. We would not have to endure ObamaCare a minute longer if Paul Ryan would stop working against us. He himself concedes we don't need 60 votes in the Senate to repeal ObamaCare. Listen to him yourself : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7aRKhgusi0 Why is he lying to us now, except to appease his big government socialist handlers. Put the Mo Brooks repeal bill on the House floor and watch it pass where the RyanCare bill did not.

This anti-Ryan crap is a total load. He is not a socialist, he is not a RINO. He is the only one that would take the job as Speaker.

Now, as a result of joining the Democrats, the Lovers of Losing Caucus has guaranteed FULL ON Obamacare.

Your analogy is beyond stupid.

Okay ad-hominem guy, it's good to have heroes and clearly Paul Ryan is yours. Did you watch the video your hero made? Was he lying then, or is he lying now? Wise up.
