President Donald Trump Friday afternoon called House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and asked him to pull the health care bill 30 minutes ahead of a scheduled floor vote. This is the second day in a row an expected House vote did not take place due to lack of Republican support from their own party for the Obamacare replacement.
The move was a major retreat for Trump, who demanded that lawmakers vote on the embattled GOP-crafted bill that’s facing stiff opposition from the conservative and moderate wings within the House Republican conference. In remarks Friday afternoon from the Oval Office, Trump said it was difficult to pass the bill without a single Democratic vote.
“Let Obamacare explode,” Trump said. “I think we have to let Obamcare go its way for a little while ... When it explodes, which it will soon, if [Democrats] got together with us and got a real health care bill, I’d be totally open to it.”

There was no repeal in Ryancare.
It was a rearranging of Obamacare.
The scum known as the GOP are liars, all.
They promised to repeal it and were elected AGAIN,
but only kept themselves, their staff and their
own families: EXEMPT.
Pulling the bill before a vote will allow PRESIDENT TRUMP to revisit healthcare later if he wishes.
He will revisit it with the Democrats, led by POelosi, and enact single payer after peeling off a large portion of Republicans.
And the Senate will approve, sending the bill to his desk.
I honestly can’t keep up with all this.
I will say my very conservative Congressman, Mark Gaetz, is really angry at the Republican leadership. I just read an email from him to his constituents and it was very strongly worded.
Ryancare was bad. Better to let Obamacare fall of it’s own weight as known it will, and let the Dems own it.

It wasn’t just some of the Republicans that didn’t vote for this bill, NONE of the DEMOCRATS did either, and now they have their ‘OBAMACARE’ bill staring them in the face, don’t think the American Voters are going to forgive them for this, they just lost more votes than they already have...
President Trump tried, unfortunately, RINORYAN got in the way...so the American People are going to be faced with the full force of rising OBAMACARE increases that the DEMOCRATS shoved down their throats, and they think they are the ‘ruling party’ Oh have I got new for them come 2018!!!

BAD, BAD, BAD......the worst thing that could happen for our country is for President Trump to undermine the trust his own base has invested n him as their anti-establishment champion.....
It was very disheartening to see Boehner replace by Ryan,....why President Trump would invest sooo much political capital in the GOP establishment’s lead-pawn in the House is beyond perplexing.....Why sooo much WH support has been directed into a plan that did not emerge from cloister with conservative Republicans tragically speaks of either naïveté or misdirection from establishment plants within the cabinet.
Think about it....We were told, even though the House controls the purse strings, Obamacare couldn't be defunded. Then we were told that Obamacare couldn't be repealed since a Democrat was the President.
Now, Republicans control all three branches of government, and there is no excuse.
We must face facts. There is little difference between the two ideologies. In fact, a strong case can be made there is only one ideology. They are all “Progressives”.
The Republican “Representatives” are not representatives at all, at least not to the citizens. Truth is they love their Obamacare just as much as the Democrats....and if they love that, have to expect they'll do nothing about Dodd/Frank, Illegal Immigration or a soaring debt. Nope, just more of the same.
Truly believe President Trump meant what he said, but the DC Swamp is just to powerful, meaning the things most of us voted for are going to be ignored and justified away.
This entire episode makes me sick as there doesn't seem to be anyway to fix our corrupt, broken system from within.
No, I think you are mistaken...this will be put squarely on Trump no matter how hard he spins it...he was elected promising to fix it...the last two weeks of the campaign this was front and center. The ads are out there for anyone to make, he’s on the record and on the line...excuses won’t work, however good they are.
He failed. It will be hung around his neck. Ryan may disappear...but Trump will be left holding this failure. And it will get worse next fall. You said you’d fix it...and you failed. Politics is brutality.
