Working as a contractor a few years back we had to do an analysis of all the data bases for criminal and terrorist activities used by a consortium of agencies - INS, DEA, FBI, State, etc.
Almost every agency we dealt with was helpful in letting us do our analyses and answering our questions except one:
Yep, the Secret Service.
They were the most arrogant group I ever dealt with. They felt everything they did was perfect; that all those other agencies’ data weren’t good enough for them; that their practices were perfect; and that nobody had any right to question.
This was mostly senior management personnel - the agents were pretty good, but they were under management’s control.
One reason TSA got started off on the wrong foot is that the first head was a former Secret Service guy who thought that all the managers to be hired by the new agency should be former police and government law enforcement types, even though TSA is not a law enforcement agency. It was set up for giving former police chiefs and federal government law enforcement heads a second career (sinecure) after they started collecting their pensions.
The best thing that could happen to the Secret Service to knock them off their pedestal is to put some ass-kicking general in charge.
...the first time an agency chief would come from outside the service in modern history.
Translation: The Secret Service is a bunch of corrupt malcontent degenerates that needs a tough American Patriot in charge to whip 'em into shape and drain their corner of the swamp.

the SS seemed to have gotten more & more slimey over the Obama years . This could be a good change . Why none of them have not blown the whistle on Obama I cannot figure . Maybe they were all too busy blowing Obama’s whistle
And when can we expect the FBI to be drained and cleaned?
I think there have been 3 fence jumpers within a week, able to get past and run around because there weren’t sensors on the fence like there used to be and a slow response. This against a President who faces more legitimate death threats than any one living.
And that’s aside from their scandals like hiring hookers in Columbia AND leaking intelligence files on Rep. Chaffetz to embarrass him because he was investigating those scandals.
When security and intelligence agencies see conservatives but not Islamic and authoritarian liberals as the enemies, they are creating a police state.
When they are actively using the information they collect through mass surveillance not to stop liberal fascists or Muslim terrorists but undermine democratically elected officials, they are committing treason, a faction seeking to overthrow the legitimate government.
They should be removed from office, many jailed, all banned from ever serving in any official capacity ever again.
Hope he has more integrity than the marine being charged with all the admirals
