Healthcare is such a thorny interrelated issue. People want cheap, access to any doctor and/or procedure, and cover everyone. All those goals are in direct opposition to each other.
What isn’t thorny is that this new tax/entitlement must be reversed; anything short of that is a failure by Republicans and makes Trump a liar. He won because people wanted this law reversed.
The republicans have now proven without out a doubt that they are unable to govern when they are given everything they said they needed. Why in the world would anyone vote for any of them as they only know how to say no and as a result obamacare is now a permanent fixture in our lives and democrats will inherit congress in two years as at least they know how to get legislation passed into law.
That’s why there needs to be choice. Create the all of the above options and low cost, catastrophic options and let people choose. Obamacare and this bill stuffed everyone in to one package. Pay for all of the above and pay a high cost for it.
Uh no. It’s not the ‘people’s’ fault to want less costly healthcare delivery.
You can bet all you got that the high cost of healthcare delivery is a direct result of government interference. Every doctor, nurse with any experience will know that to be true.
Every health insurer makes claims tables based on Medicare RVUs and Medicare, in turn, bases its RVU values on these claims tables. This forms a vicious cycle leading to unrealistic high pricing.
Doctors and clinics spend far too much time arguing with Medicare and insurance companies about getting coverage for patients and trying to find ways to make the Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance company ‘framework’ fit with the reality of practicing medicine. They often have to start padding their care categories with every little item because the reimbursements come in at a small percentage of what is claimed. This adds to the vicious cycle.
Direct care clinics, also called retainer-fee clinics or concierge clinics, operate without insurance or Medicare. An individual can pay their direct care physician $150 to $200 a month and receive an around-the-clock response. Appointments are usually 30 minutes to 45 minutes versus 6 minutes to 12 minutes for an insurance funded clinic.
Exactly. Better to take some time to get it right. This is not Nancy Pelosi’s party. The people’s representatives need to work out something that will work for the country.
You have no right to health insurance!! Go to the ER. It is not my fault!! Obtain education— then a good job or start a business == then buy whatever you want that is legal!! I don’t want to buy it for you. I am trying to take care of ME and MY FAMILY— Not you!!
>> People want cheap, access to any doctor and/or procedure, and cover everyone.
I shouldn’t have to pay $22k for a less-than equivalent plan that cost me $15k before the ACA. I’ll take $15k/year which isn’t being cheap.
The cost of covering the ACA mandate is hidden to most people through layoffs of others and the self-employed. The Democrats literally terminated my good plan forcing me onto the ACA, I’ve been dealing with Obamacare head on, and it totally sucks very much like the lying, deceitful Democrats.
Destroy the ACA!!!
Trump screwed up. Biggly.
“Healthcare is such a thorny interrelated issue. People want cheap, access to any doctor and/or procedure, and cover everyone. All those goals are in direct opposition to each other.”
It is a particularly thorny issue for ALREADY SICK people who want the rest of the population to foot their bill. They do not number more than a few tens of millions, but they are very vocal. Can’t take their freebies away.
If the rest of the population takes side, they will be silenced. The healthcare is a personal choice and should be brought to the free market. Repeal Obamacare now! Do not polish that turd under a different brand.
And the Tort Lawyers still want their “golden goose!”
Exactly
mex pay 50$....recently incarcerated pay 50$....asian immigrants pay 50$...moslims pay 0$.....if we level health care fairly....then implement the existing diagnostic soft ware for analysis...then order generic meds.... at 1/10th the cost.....then everyone pays 150 $...and it would work....
yep...its doable....big pharm loses...billions....so it aint gonna go.
