Steve Bannon HATES Ryan. Something to keep in mind as this unfolds.

“100% chance we get single payer if Dems ever get control of all three branches again.”

_____________________________________________

I have probably posted this before, but it bears repeating. When I had my children in Denver, and they were sick, I could call the doctor’s office and make a same-day appointment.

Just after I moved to Canada (Canadian husband with a job offer), my eighteen month-old daughter had an ear infection, as she was prone to having.

I got to the emergency room (no family doctor) at 9:30 and spend the entire day with a crying, fussy baby.

Finally, at around 6 pm, I went up to the receptionist and said, in my bad French, “No one has been called in about two hours. My daughter needs to see someone; she is in pain. What is going on?”

The receptionist said, “The doctor is having dinner.”

I answered, “This is a hospital. Are you telling me that there is only one doctor available to see people?”

Then I turned around to the crowd in the waiting room and said, “Why do you people put up with this?”

About five minutes later, a doctor was miraculously available and my daughter was seen. We got back at around ten p.m.

What a joy to spend twelve hours in a waiting room with a sick baby.

That’s what’s coming, if the U.S. goes to single-payer.

What happened to that original repeal and replace bill?

0bie and Lyin Ryan likely burned it.

Obamacare is here to stay.

That is the bottom line for today.

Obviously the GOP could not get it done.

So RAT’s will now be brought in to Fix(Fund Obamacare)

Please see my post #222.

Single payer is an absolute disaster. Like socialism, communism—plenty of good intentions, but it never works.

Go get your Obamacare before you get too sick.

Trump ran on winning. He’s lost on every major issue. A pissant district court judge can stop him...and he goes along with it. The Republicans won’t dare stop the filibuster of Goresuch now, so the District Court judge wins...and Trump loses. The Democrats have shown the Republican Establishment how to destroy Trump, and Trump shows no sign of being ruthless enough to utterly destroy them before they destroy him. How’s that for balls? Who has them? His AG was so stupid to recuse himself the minute he got a hard question from the press.

One thing is for sure...the Trump being an ally of Putin stuff is complete B.S. Putin would have the enemies who were trying to destroy him six-feet under by now.

Now do you guys have something past the sloganeering because this is a huge process and not as simple as posting on FR.

Why don't you complain to Ryan about it being a huge process and not as simple as shutting out the Freedom Caucus when you write the bill.

Trump is going to support a public option before the 2018 elections. And it will pass easily. That’s going to be his Obamacare reform.

People will figure out a way around any bullish!t, and there will be tremendous political pressure for the HHS secretary to look the other way.

I’m disappointed that no deal could be worked out. The savings is key to future tax and budgeting deals that I think would turn a lot of the general public in favor of Trump.

I understand some elements of the bill were not good but it was part one of three and bad elements could have been removed or amended later.

Let’s see somebody now start a bill that simply does repeal. And then they can do replace afterwards.

Of course single payer is a disaster- but the Establishment and its friends will have their own private system for themselves...it’ll be a Dacha society. It’s only you and I who get screwed.

Exactly - it’s the same with abortion. If congress succeeds in effectively outlawing abortion, there’s little to keep some evangelicals from drifting leftwards. So the party has a big incentive to keep the issue “live” so they can keep running against it.

Take a chill pill man. This one day is not going to doom anything. Better for Trump to learn from this, move on, and try and get a better bill that people can rally behind.
