***This is a disaster for Paul Ryan, not for President Trump.***

Oh yes it is, because he put his eggs in the Ryancare basket. He tried to shut out, then insulted the members of the Freedom Caucus. This bill would have screwed Vets, the very people he promised over and over to help.

Just remember October and when Ryan cancelled the campaign event in Wisconsin. I felt all along when it appeared that Trump was giving the lead to Ryan, he knew his legislative history and knew if he wanted to get anything done in DC, he had to marginalize Ryan.

Next is McConnell in that his wife tweeting to someone to sue the hell out of Trump. Elaine Chow pulled the tweet I’m sure when someone got in touch with her.

Still, we were going to have to go through this phase and better to get it out of the way early than to depend on snakes.

The GOP has full charge and Obamacare is the law of the land. If it flops, it is now the GOP that hangs.

Absolutely a win for planned parenthood. From the same party that’s been telling us they are against abortion for 40+ years. Those same guys love Obamacare. They are all getting rich and laughing behind our backs.

Uh no. It’s not the ‘people’s’ fault to want less costly healthcare delivery.

You can bet all you got that the high cost of healthcare delivery is a direct result of government interference. Every doctor, nurse with any experience will know that to be true.

Every health insurer makes claims tables based on Medicare RVUs and Medicare, in turn, bases its RVU values on these claims tables. This forms a vicious cycle leading to unrealistic high pricing.

Doctors and clinics spend far too much time arguing with Medicare and insurance companies about getting coverage for patients and trying to find ways to make the Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance company ‘framework’ fit with the reality of practicing medicine. They often have to start padding their care categories with every little item because the reimbursements come in at a small percentage of what is claimed. This adds to the vicious cycle.

Direct care clinics, also called retainer-fee clinics or concierge clinics, operate without insurance or Medicare. An individual can pay their direct care physician $150 to $200 a month and receive an around-the-clock response. Appointments are usually 30 minutes to 45 minutes versus 6 minutes to 12 minutes for an insurance funded clinic.

We’ll see. The nation has moved right.

I can see why you say that, but a guy saying he’s going to tackle Welfare, won’t be afraid to tackle heath care.

Of course this remains to be seen.

The biggest problems I personally experienced with Obamacare (before I turned 65 and went on Medicare) were:

One-quarter of these could be dealt with by eliminating the state exchanges. A long-term solution to the other problems may involve convincing late-night TV-host comedians to administer some richly-deserved reamings to the software industry.

Mountainman it may be a win in the eyes of the national lib media but it wont be for long. Obama is about to meet his Waterloo in the surveillance scandal that is approaching.

I’m already hearing on Fox News that the GOP will work with RAT’s
to “Fix” Obamacare, which means more funding.

Many of us warned that this was coming. And it appears that a fix
is now in for Obamacare.

All this intentional Ryan, had to know this bill was just Obamacare light and would not pass. THinking about the 2018 election, and a further deteriation of Ocare. Also we will never move in a more free market direction, that is now clear. Put in justices, lower taxes, pass infrastucture, and keep Dems out of office.

The bill was essentially Obamacare "lite". I want a more radical repeal that completely phases out Obamacare in favor of a true market-based system of health insurance, where insurers can offer policies across state lines on a regional basis (or offer incentives to have more insurers in Alaska and Hawaii). That way, with REAL competition for health care insurance policy dollars (imagine being able to choose between 25 to 30 plans per state!), there is all the incentive to keep costs low.

LOL. Ryan couldn’t get elected outside of his district.
Romney/Ryan did not even carry WI in 2012.
