Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been targeting so-called "sanctuary cities" with increased enforcement operations in an effort to pressure those jurisdictions to cooperate with federal immigration agents, a senior US immigration official with direct knowledge of ongoing ICE actions told CNN.

Say to Sanctuary Cities: No cooperation, then ICE will conduct raids and random checkpoints in your cities.
Say to Non-Sanctuary Cities: We will use local police to round up illegals, so we don't need to use raids and random checkpoints.

Great, now when the showboat illegal-immigrant lovers want to stand in front of the camera and declare what a good person they are because they are going to standup to ICE and protect criminals, they are getting the message that any such declaration will result in more raids and effectively put even more illegals at risk - targeted criminals plus others caught up in the net.
In this particular case, if the US Official was named, he’d have the “resistance” protesting outside his home - because he wanted to enforce the law.
And they think that since they wont help that they can keep those illegals from getting kicked out?
Welllll. this is good since ICE knows full well where to look for those illegals. Better than a roundup.
Perfectly logical. As many have pointed out, robbers target banks because that’s where the money is, and mass murderers like gun-free zones. They ain’t stupid.
As a hunter, you target game trails, water, and other areas where the animals you are looking for are likely to congregate. ICE is using the same logic. Good for them!
