President's Tweet about Freedom Caucus
Twitter ^ | March 24, 2017 | @Real Donald Trump

The irony is that the Freedom Caucus, which is very pro-life and against Planned Parenthood, allows P.P. to continue if they stop this plan!

Freedom Caucus..LISTEN TO YOUR BASE

For starters, don’t allow a vote until they take out forcing Vets into the VA system. SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN PUT IN THERE

Oh, no he di'int! He didn't just play the abortion card, did he?

Lame, Mr. President. Very lame.

PP was around long before ObamaDon'tCare so there must be some other mechanism for defunding it.

I’m behind the Freedom Caucus 100%! Don’t give in!

I am so disappointed in Trump. We went from winning to watching him suck up to Ryan pretty damn quickly.

I’m taking a hard look at the Freedom Caucus. I had thought they were a good check against BIG PARTY Republicans. Now I see them a spoiled brat, never-Trumpers who want to hand a defeat to the new President. Follow the money and see who funds them (hint: Koch money).

Total Crap!

But I said this was coming. When and if TrumpCare fails - as it should - Trump will blame conservatives.

Not Ryan. Not himself. But conservatives.

What the What???

So Congress takes months and months to approve Trump’s political appointees taking its good damn time, but when it comes to the Obamacare legislation it is secretly written by whoever controls Ryan, then suddently unveiled and must be passed in a rush in a few days.

The Freedom Caucus has some good ideas. Work them into the bill, and take another week or two to get it right.

Trump has earned our trust. He did the impossible. Against all odds, he won the election. I don’t think it’s too much of an exaggeration to say he single handily saved America. If he wants the bill passed, then pass the damn bill.

We don’t need no “new” gubmint plans or “replacement”. FULL REPEAL. No compromise!

Not only does this TrumpCare crapola exclude veterans - it actually INCLUDES illegals.

And Trump has the nerve to criticize conservatives in the Freedom Caucus?

Grrrr.

IF Planned Parenthood can be defunded as part of this bill without Senate filibuster then it can be defunded as a stand alone bill without Senate filibuster. Why hasn’t the president proposed that? Why link it with a bill doomed to failure and then blame continued funding on that?

Did you vote for giving healthcare to illegals? Or for forcing Vets into the VA system?

Ryancare..now called Trump does both of those things

Trump has earned our trust.

The only Person I trust is God.

President Trump is not infallible. Stop selling us the sizzle, Mr. President. Tell us about the steak. What is so great about this bill?

“I am so disappointed in Trump. We went from winning to watching him suck up to Ryan pretty damn quickly.”

Ronald Reagan understood that politics was the art of the possible. He spoke of compromise many times, favorably. He once told James Baker, “I’d rather take 80% of what I want than go over the cliff waving my flag.” Another time he said, “If they give you half a loaf, take it. Then come back for more later.”

This is EXACTLY how our liberties have been stolen, once thin salami slice at a time since the early 20th Century. To think that we will get everything that we want instantly is, to say the least, very naive. We should use the exact same tactics that have brought success to the Leftists/statists - just for policies that move us in the opposite direction. If the roles were reversed, the Dems would already have had this bill on Hillary Clinton’s desk - so why don’t we have it on Trump’s desk????

I don’t get it. Why not just repeal the damn mandate with a one paragraph bill. Then worry about everything else later. Seems to me the mandate is the leadt defensible part of the bill. Get rid of that first.

Dear President Trump,

The bread on a crap sandwich might taste great, but it's still a crap sandwich at the end of the day.

Ryan screwed you over, like he has the American public, time after time.

How about turning your guns to the REAL culprit instead of the people who have been fighting RINOS, and the "swamp", long before you decided to run for President.

We need two bills; one perfect with full repeal that needs 60 votes in the Senate to pass. Get that to the Senate and put Democrats on record as idiots for not passing it. At the same time they can be working on the alternate bill. And not one word of whining that Democrats won't pass it until they actually don't.

But don't just surrender immediately and do some alternate bill as the House is doing. That just makes GOPe the idiots.
