t's official: moments ago TransCanada said the U.S. Department of State issued a presidential permit for the construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline, ending a multi-year controversial, at times acrimonious debate over the future of the pipeline. The pipeline linking Canadian oil sands to U.S. refiners had been blocked by Barack Obama, who said the pipeline would do nothing to reduce fuel prices for U.S. motorists and would contribute emissions linked to global warming.
"This is a significant milestone for the Keystone XL project," said Russ Girling, TransCanada's president and chief executive officer, said in a statement. "We greatly appreciate President Trump's administration for reviewing and approving this important initiative and we look forward to working with them as we continue to invest in and strengthen North America's energy infrastructure."

That the society of governance professionals of North Korea?
Here’s the issue: Trump specifically said that he wants a 35% tax on those companies that move from USA to another country and try to sell their products back into the USA. Of course oil from Canada isn’t included, but your point is exactly what the MSM does to twist Trump’s words. It will be interesting to see if the MSM puts a spin and says “boy, this oil wouldn’t be coming in if there was a border tax”. Just saying.

WOW ! Second source is Trump is preparing a Press Conference at 10:15 AM to announce this. Maybe you should believe a little more - ZeroHedge has been pretty much accurate on his stories. Oh check out DailyMail - they too are reporting it. WOW !
The MSM and the Libs will be in full blown panic. Not a word said when Obama blocked this “for years”. I don’t buy the premise that it will not bring down costs. What does Obama know. Nothing. Go Trump. Keep the pressure on.
The Gaggs here in the office this morning speaking out loud saying how much they hate white men.
Freeper back up needed/s (friday/s)

GOD BLESS YOU PRESIDENT TRUMP>
TransCanada Pipeline
The second half of that name. Canada's like, a whole other country, eh?
I don’t know how many people follow the news closely enough to understand how Judges are unconstitutionally thwarting his agenda, but he must continue to have Sessions and his DOJ appeal these decisions, which he will win. That will be more powerful in 2020.
He also needs to break up the 9th Circuit. This needed to be done far before their interference with his immigration ban. It is too large, too slow, and too entrenched in San Francisco activism. However, at the rate we are moving forward on judicial appointments Trump would have to be President for 100 years to fill the current vacancies and he would still have fewer Judges in place at the end due to attrition.
I know that, but Why? An international agreement can be made, but why do they get involved at the permit level?
Obama simply refused to sign off on the pipeline. No reason....cuz he could.
Tyler Durden of ZeroHedge is not a person, but a group of writers that all use the same name there - so no backlash to each individual writer.
Tyler Durden is a character from the movie “Fight Club”
Is my memory wrong? Did the above happen or not? Thanks.
The border adjustment tax is a Republican House proposal, not Trump’s. This is not a tariff. Rather, firms would not be able to deduct the cost of the import on their income taxes. Domestic sources would be completely deductible.
I remember reading a story that said that!
I have a question for you
As I recall, on attaining the office, did Trudeau cancel the Canadian side of the deal? Did he forbid the cross border pipeline on his side?
The tariff needs to be across the board. Let the market decide what gets produced here and what gets produced overseas. But restore the tariffs to protect the industries that we still have and to bring some of the manufacturing back.
Use the funds to cut corporate and individual income taxes.
More Americans working. Less being supported. Keeping more of the money they earned. Spending it into the American economy. And foreigners trying to sell into our market funding a larger chuck of government.
Win win win win win win win win win win
