Good grief. Math is not my strong suit, but even I can see that not penciling out. I hope she has no dependents.
She does - one child and a husband and the deductible for each was $3000 I think - or it may have been more for her and her husband and a little less for her son. She left her job and her ins premium is now $450 with a much lower deductible and she also got a raise. It was a mess but worked out well.
