Yes, I think a Medicaid solution would be a lot less expensive and complicated than making everyone suffer. Give the Medicaid money to the states to cover those that truly need it, and that could cover someone that lost their job through no fault of their own and couldn’t afford COBRA, etc. The states should not have to pay for illegals, etc., and other states should not pay for CA illegals coverage. Refugees too for that matter.
States that want expanded medicaid need to pay for it. All the other states are subsidizing them and putting a huge hole in the budget.
Privatize it.
Make them pay something for it, all the way up to full-premium....based on their ability to pay.
Everyone has a co-pay.
