Philadelphians will soon no longer be able to purchase 2-liters or 12-packs of Pepsi soda products at local stores, according to grocers.

Managers of two independent Philly grocery stores confirmed they’d received letters from Pepsi saying the company would no longer distribute 2-liters or 12-packs to Philadelphia stores, as of March 20.

The mayor’s spokesman trying to say none if this is tied to the stupid soda tax. Why is Pepsi only doing this in the city?
The real news is the collateral damage the mayor is causing. As people go out of town to buy soda they are also buying their other groceries there, killing city grocers and losing the sales tax revenues.
Meanwhile, poorer residents can’t shop outside the city, Another racist democrat policy.>>> yes like me i’m shopping more whle in the burbs. there are no other taxes on groceries but the revenues are lost to the stores.

Somebody in Philly drank the equivalent of about 32 million 12 oz. cans of sugared soda (and other such drinks) in January.

Boy...he must be FAT!

(and think of all the belching)

it doesn't have to make sense...

the idea to get more money for the Philly govt so they can pass it out to their favorite citizens merely has to pass the sniff test of the brain dead voters....

afterall, it SOUNDS SO GOOD to save the poor liddle people from the horrible soda companies..

That is a start...

I figured during the cigarette purge the tobacco people should have picked a state or two and refused to put their product(s) in the state.

A couple of months losing that 2 and 3 dollar a pack tax would call for quick changes .....

Of course the Fed and the states that were cut out would sue Big Tobacco for not supplying a product that the Fed and the states were trying to outlaw or at least cripple the companies.

Hypocrisy anyone?

Commie liberals are asinine.

The do whatever FEELS good, absent any and all logic or reason. This is why their outlandish policies make no sense, do not work, create massive problems, and contradict reality.

Liberalism is truly a mental disorder.

PA state police used to do that at the PA/DE state line. They would pull over the shoppers with PA plates. DE has no sales tax.

Traveling out of town will also increase consumption of fossil fuels and thereby lead to more climate change. </s

> yes, and you can still buy bags of sugar, and candy, and doughnuts, and cookies.

That's next. Anything they can regulate to make the people pay more or or suffer. And it will all be in the name of healthcare costs whether it's the truth or not.

The foundation of my vast fortune was smuggling phosphate dishwasher soap into the state of Washington. Now this. Fire up the 18-wheeler, Marge, we got us a convoy!
