It will pass, in some form. More changes will be made by the Senate, but Obamacare is DOA, as Linda would say.

The tiny permaclass of purists on FR and elsewhere will not be happy but so it goes. MAGA!

Yeah. Why would we expect what we should get with the house/senate and presidency.

What infantile and naive statements here.

“purist” would mean a 100% free market in health care and getting rid of unconstitutional programs like Medicare and Medicaid. So your use of the term is disingenuous, to say the least. The AHCA is at least as bad as the ACA...worse if one considers that R’s will get blamed for the collapse of private health care instead of D’s and O. This bill is a bill written for the insurance companies. Every reputable conservative I know is against AHCA. It makes me wonder who you are working for, tbh.

What are you talking about, “Obamacare is DOA”? Unless they take away guaranteed issue, community rating, keeping offspring on plans until age 26, etc., Obamacare will still live.

Tweaking Medicaid and pretending they are killing off Obamacare is a massive lie—as is their claim that they couldn’t kill Obamacare via reconciliation. And unless they implement real free market reforms on top of that—namely repealing McCarron-Ferguson and phasing out the tax deduction for employer-provided insurance, they won’t have delivered on their promise to replace it with a free market-based system.
