‘You got swamped’: Schwarzenegger calls out Trump’s low approval rating

Add another chapter to the ongoing star war between President Trump and Arnold Schwarzenegger. By way of dimly-lit video shot from an urban waterfront, Schwarzenegger mocked the president’s low approval ratings via Twitter on Tuesday.
The former California governor and actor was not above tossing a few barbs in the president’s direction. “Donald, the ratings are in, and you got swamped,” said Schwarzenegger, a Republican but not a Trump supporter. “Wow. Now you’re in the 30s?”

While Arnold enjoyed high ratings at first as Governor, his support had dropped to 37%, one of the lowest approval ratings for any California governor and barely above the support of recalled former Governor, Gray Davis. So he has nothing to gloat about in all honesty.

Celebrities like Arnold are obsessed with seeking the approval of the easy-to-manipulate. Even fake polls are a source of terror for them. Trump doesn’t need their approval or the approval of people who think like them.

Dem. Governor Gray Davis was awful and we in California mounted a recall election to get rid of him. To this day, I regret voting for the “Terminator”...who ran as a tough guy Repub and governed as a worse Dem than the Dem we ousted.
I had to talk my brother out of voting for Arnold. I knew the recall was the only chance for California to have a truly conservative governor because it only required a plurality to win the recall. He was as starry-eyed as anyone else when it came to Arnold. I knew Arnold would be slightly left-of-center at best, but it seemed like he assumed that everyone would go along with his ideas just because he was Arnold, and then he ran into the unholy nastiness that is political interest groups in Cali and he just gave up.

I read elsewhere he’s considering a run for the senate. He’s got to shore up votes from the Queer State voters, and the best way to get publicity for that is to denounce the President. The media eat that up.
