Well, if Parliamentarians are using that bridge, and pols are targets, seems to me like regular folks using that brudge might also rate some concern. Why aren’t there bollards/k-rails protecting the sidewalk from a vehicle? Seems like after the last couple of years, that would be a no-brainer.

And if Parliamentarians no longer use that bridge to walk across the Thames, why? Security concerns? If so, why wasn’t the general population protected and/or warned?

I wouldn’t have thought someone would be able to sneak into the White House grounds and peek in the windows either.

Probably no money for it, as with NATO obligations. Subsidies for refugees and migrants are probably a higher concern.
