GOP Groups Call Carbon Tax A Free Market Solution To Climate Change

CHRIS WHITE 11:15 AM 03/20/2017

Various conservative groups are ramping up efforts to promote what they call “free enterprise” policies to wrestle the climate change warrior title from Democrats.

GOP-affiliated groups, such as ConservAmerica and republicEn, are doubling efforts to recruit Republican lawmakers to work on rebutting President Donald Trump’s climate skepticism. They are also hoping to hijack the Democrats’ traditional stranglehold on the environmental movement.

Their primary goal is to use what they believe are free market solutions to so-called man-made global warming to entice Republican colleagues to jump aboard the environmental movement.

“Conservatives now have a chance to earn back the trust of Americans on environmental issues,” Alex Bozmoski, an adviser with republicEn, told reporters Monday. “They can lead in a completely different direction that actually grows the economy while cutting greenhouse gasses.”

Thank you for referencing that article moonhawk. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Patriots are reminded that even if politically correct “climate science” had been proven by the consistent results of repeatable, scientific method-base experiments, it remains that the states have never expressly constitutionaly delegated to the feds the specific power to appropriate taxes in the name of politically correct global warming issues.

Drain the swamp! Drain the swamp!

Remember in November ’18 !

Since Trump entered the ’16 presidential race too late for patriots to make sure that there were state sovereignty-respecting candidates on the primary ballots, patriots need make sure that such candidates are on the ’18 primary ballots so that they can be elected to support Trump in draining the unconstitutionally big federal government swamp.

Such a Congress will also be able to finish draining the swamp with respect to getting the remaining state sovereignty-ignoring, activist Supreme Court justices off of the bench.

Noting that the primaries start in Iowa and New Hampshire in February ‘18, patriots need to challenge candidates for federal office in the following way.

While I Googled the primary information above concerning Iowa and New Hampshire, FReeper iowamark brought to my attention that the February primaries for these states apply only to presidential election years. And after doing some more scratching, since primary dates for most states for 2018 elections probably haven’t been uploaded at this time (March 14, 2017), FReepers will need to find out primary dates from sources and / or websites in their own states.

Patriots need to qualify candidates by asking them why the Founding States made the Constitution’s Section 8 of Article I; to limit (cripple) the federal government’s powers.

Patriots also need to find candidates that are knowledgeable of the Supreme Court's clarifications of the federal government’s limited powers listed above.

Well I hope they regulate these taxes and the use of carbon, and subsidize economic sectors that are favored or disadvantaged. It’s the only way to assure a free market!

“Did I miss the sarcasm tag there?”

Are you actually admitting publicly that you need a sarcasm tag? Really? Do you understand that sarcasm tags are a sarcastic way for sarcastic people to dig at people who don’t get sarcasm?

They are either stupid, corrupt or both.

No smoking hot spot David Evans - THE AUSTRALIAN July 18, 2008

1. The greenhouse signature is missing. We have been looking and measuring for years, and cannot find it.

Each possible cause of global warming has a different pattern of where in the planet the warming occurs first and the most. The signature of an increased greenhouse effect is a hot spot about 10km up in the atmosphere over the tropics. We have been measuring the atmosphere for decades using radiosondes: weather balloons with thermometers that radio back the temperature as the balloon ascends through the atmosphere. They show no hot spot. Whatsoever.

If there is no hot spot then an increased greenhouse effect is not the cause of global warming. So we know for sure that carbon emissions are not a significant cause of the global warming. If we had found the greenhouse signature then I would be an alarmist again.

Total volume of CO2 in the atmosphere is only .03%.

Man made contributions to that are about 3.225% of that .03%.

This is BS astroturfing. They admit it here:

“Their fledgling crusade hasn’t gained much support so far from Republicans on Capitol Hill. A mere 20 or so of the 237 Republican congressmen have made tough talk against climate change a part of their rhetorical repertoire.”

But the Sierra Cub noticed! Gold Standard, baby!

There is nothing free market about a tax increase to fix a non-existent problem.
