California already hired former Atty Gen. Holder, and I am stuck living here!
Are EC votes equal to number of House reps + 2 senators? Similar to counties. What are rules on House districts is there a population minimum, maximum, square miles?
No EC means major cities LA, NY, Chicago... Are the only campaigns, like a Rock Band tour and that defeats the inclusion that is needed. A brilliant idea when they came up with it to ensure the country is in play. Not just a few population centers
Yes. Sorry. I was rushing to make the reply before rushing out the door to church. My bad.
Yep. I had a brain cramp there. I was rushing my reply before heading out for church. My bad.
Thanks.
I bet less than one percent of Americans knows that

Well, I’m firmly opposed to election by the popular vote, but the argument against the EC is that it has turned out that the outcome often actually hinges on the results in only a few of the 50 states with large numbers of electors such as Florida, Ohio, California, and New York. Whereas an election based on the winner of the most counties nationwide would enable the voters throughout the country to have their vote more directly affect the outcome of the election. For example, in the last election this would have resulted in the election of Trump in accordance with the preference of the voters in roughly 84% of the nation’s counties, 2,625 of the 3,112 counties.
Better than counties is to have the EC votes according to the majority in each Congressional district, with two from each state reflecting the statewide majority vote. I think there is actually a state that has it set up that way, but I don't recall which one.

Have to confess that I can’t quite get my head around that suggestion just now, but I will certainly be thinking about it. Thanks.
Red Sox out hit the Yankees 10-7 but lost the game 5-4
or, more pleasantly, we can remind them that the Yanks outscored the Bucs 55-27 in 1960, and came in, let me see, where was that again, oh yeah, in second place...
fond memories do last a lifetime...
Wonder if the left learned to never say never?.
I did a bit of research, and I was wrong. There are TWO states (Maine and Nebraska), not one, who have EC votes by the "congressional district".
You’re SO right.
Yep.

Odds are they were masturbating each other while watching Rachel ManCow discuss President Trump’s 2005 Taxes when they wrote this.
304 Electors appointed by 32 states in the Union voted for Trump. 227 Electors appointed by 18 states in the Union voted for Clinton. To induce these states to appoint electors favorable to him, Mr. Trump pledged to nominate someone from a list - actually a pair of lists, with 20 names - to fill the Scalia seat on the SCOTUS bench. Secretary Clinton neither responded with a counter pledge of people she would consider for SCOTUS nor critiqued anyone listed by Mr. Trump. Many voters assert that their vote was influenced significantly by the issue of the SCOTUS vacancy, and Mr. Trump won the election.
Democrats traditionally claim that Republican nominees - especially judicial nominees - are out of the mainstream. That dog wont hunt. The victory of Mr. Trump validates his position that the names on his list constitute the American judicial mainstream.
If the map was reset to a county or precinct level, 90% of the blue territory turns red. Only a few blue islands remain.
I agree about Gorsuch. The upside is that if the Dems oppose him, they are gong to lose votes in the n=mid term elections.
I would much rather have seen William Pryor nominated, but the GOP does not have the 60 votes necessary.
No sweat. Patton just happens to be my all time favorite.:>)
How many of those 66 million votes for hillary were due to voter fraud?
*crickets*
Obama's final SC pick was no centrist--he would have voted lockstep with Kagan and Sotomayor. He was only "moderate" in his personal demeanor.
