When Ginsburg either resigns or dies in office, Trump will nominate another conservative strict constructionist. Democrats will lose their minds. They will refuse, yaddah yaddah yaddah.
And the court will continue to run, this time with a 5-3 conservative majority.
They’ll complain that the court isn’t up to its full power, and the answer will be “well, you won’t approve my nominee.” This could go on for years, and the democrats seem as obstructionist. All of which makes them look all the more bad. The 2018 senate elections look to be very bad for democrats, to the point of being able to defeat the democrats’ with a 60 vote majority

The current Court has exactly TWO Conservatives serving on it, Alito and Thomas. Gorsuch would be number THREE.
