One of Philadelphias most prominent Latin American events, El Carnaval de Puebla, has been canceled this year because of what one organizer called the severe conditions affecting the immigrant community. The annual parade through South Philadelphia has taken place in late April or early May for the last decade and is the citys largest Cinco de Mayo celebration. Organizer Edgar Ramirez said as many as 15,000 gather from as far as New England and Chicago.

If they aren’t illegal aliens, ten what would anyone be worried about?

Good. I totally dislike stupid Cinco De Mayo celebrations.
May Day was already ruined by the communists.

The annual parade through South Philadelphia has taken place in late April or early May for the last decade and is the citys largest Cinco de Mayo celebration. Oh. Wait. So there's more than one CdM celebration.
Why aren't the others being cancelled? What evidence do they have that this one celebration is being targeted?
Or is this all about stirring up paranoia and fear? Keeping one of DemonicRATS most loyal voting blocs from coming out of the shadows and becoming assimilated citizens.

Cinco de Mayo is an American celebration. They don't celebrate it in Mexico except at the tourist spots and Puebla, where the Mexicans defeated the French in a battle on May 5th, 1862.
It is just used as an excuse to eat Mexican food and drink beer and margaritas and party in the US. Works for me.

Start having ICE at the welfare offices and watch them run. Then have ICE at exit of school parking lot. Near door of Courthouse. Etc.

Shutting it down because no one in Philly can afford a soft drink at the celebration.

Sort of like public schools in New York City with no Jewish students closing for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Or atheist baby-killing RATs having the day off for Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter.

make sure all immigrants know that LEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARE SAFE I'm pretty sure they all know that, since they completed a total immersion course on citizenship. But I know it rankles the hell out of them to be identified in the same way as illegal aliens.

Liberals are incapable of using the word “illegal” unless it is being used in a sentence accusing a Republican of something or other.

I make a habit of drinking an Irish Guinness on Cinco De Mayo and a Mexican Pacifico on St. Patrick’s Day, just to secure my role in life as a contrarian.

It’s not about immigration. It about illegal immigration.
We need to keep saying this every time the left tries to frame the conversation around immigration.
call them “Fake Americans”, because they have fake documents, fake social security numbers ...

Funny guy.
I am not against alcohol for others but I don't drink myself. Haven't for 40 years, since I was 30. Not an alcoholic. I just don't like the way it makes me feel.
So lucky me. That means I have been the designated driver practically my whole adult life.
And, I figure, I also saved a sh*tload of money! :-)
