Israel's ambassador to Russia has been called in by the Russian Foreign Ministry for clarifications Friday after Israel's air force attacked in Syria overnight, a statement by Moscow said. The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed the statement.

Ambassador Gary Koren, who filled his letter of credence to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, was called in for a talk with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov on the recent developments in Syria, a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

It is relatively rare for Israeli ambassadors to be summoned for such a talk in the wake of air force action in Syria. Since Russian forces entered Syria two years ago, a number of attacks attributed to Israel have taken place, but in none of the cases was the Israeli envoy to Moscow asked to give clarifications......

The very existence of Syria as a proxy state for Iran’s terrorism is violation of all that is good and great in this world. Iran, using the Syrian army, invaded and occupied Lebanon for over 20 years. By the time they ‘left’ Lebanon, Hezbollah was well-entrenched and in control of Lebanon. While Hamas in Gaza is ‘famous’ for their thousands of missiles launched into Israel, Hezbollah has launched their share of missiles into Israel from the north. It reached such an outrageous level that Israel occupied Southern Lebanon in an effort to reduce those rocket attacks. When Israel left Southern Lebanon, Hezbollah immediately began building rockets and rocket launchers. It reached such a level of ridiculousness that Hezbollah has constructed rockets and launchers RIGHT BESIDE United Nations ‘peace keeping’ buildings. Since nothing would please the U.N. more than the destruction of Israel, they ‘ignore’ (support) those rockets aimed at Israel.
Creepozoids all.

Israel will get its own anti-missile system and the US systems as well will be sold to other nations worried about the Iranian threat like the Gulf Arabs.

I understand one Israeli system used around Gaza was going to Qatar through an American defense contractor.

There’s $$$$$$ in all this for the Israeli and American defense contractors.

The politicians bought by the “military-industrial complex” like Lindsey Graham and John S. McCain are smiling.

THAAD sales is one thing, but Israel making Russian AA Missile Batteries look inept and impotent is priceless

I think Israel holds the cards when it comes to its own national defense.

The concern is that the USA will be asked to do Israel’s fighting for it.

I’m pro-Israel and I’m pro Israel defending itself.

The Thursday night operation deep into Syria was aimed at an airbase used for Iranian shipments into the country.

Russian special forces and helicopters are also at the airbase (according to the propaganda site DEBKA).

So I think the Russians are concerned.

The whole Arab Spring that ended in the Syrian Civil War underlies this and its real objectives, purposes, players should cause everyone to be curious.

“Arab Spring” was bookended by street rebellion in Iran itself and the street rebellion in Ukraine and all the repercussions of that.

I think those events tie in.

Israel doing what it needs to do for its own national security is one thing.

Dragging the USA into the mess is another.

Trump is cleaning up ISIS right now and that’s fine with me.

Whoever is behind the Arab Spring created it and they better watch out what they are doing?

In my post #7 I mention what DEBKA said along the lines of Russian helicopters and special forces being at the Palmyra air base T-4 which was attacked on Thursday night.

Russia, according to DEBKA, wanted to tell Israel its not acceptable what they did.

Israel’s view is that T-4 is where the Iranian planes land to supply Iranian-Hezbollah forces in Syria.

Debka could be right. Israel has indicated they'll destroy advanced weaponry destined for Hezbollah. And has threatened air defenses within the last day or two. Defenses which probably protect Russian aircraft as well as Iranian. Russia might have to prevent arms transfers at some point in time. Republican Guard forces area said to be near the Golan. Doubt Israel will accept that. Doubt the RG is a match for Israel on the ground. Russia has no interest being in the middle of that. They'll work it out, Israel and Russia have been cooperating for a year.

1. An Iranian nuclear weapon would be a disaster for America and Israel.

2. The Muslim Brotherhood Spring was an anti-Israel program by the Obama regime. Obama tried to end the peace between Israel and Egypt.

Obama, Obama, Obama

McCain and Company cheered on the jihadists backed by the Saudis and Qataris in the region.

And John McCain was a featured speaker at AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) during this period.

Obama cut the Iran nuke deal.

But Republican Senator Bob Corker enabled it with his Corker Amendment raising the NO threshold to 2/3 on the Iran nuke deal.

This enabled a nice show vote to make Senators look good while the deal went through anyway.

Rush Limbaugh said it was about Boeing and other companies selling products to Iran.

I’ve read Boeing has 80 aircraft ordered by Iran.

I see Saudi-Gulf Arab oil money and benefits to Israel through isolation of Iran from allies or potential allies in the region all over the “Arab Spring”.

1. Congress didn't authorize this action, so the onus was on Obama. Nonetheless, I don't think Hanoi John to be any less treasonous. I supported his primary opponents in the past.

And John McCain was a featured speaker at AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) during this period.

For all intents and purposes, AIPAC is not a part of the Soros-owned Democrat party. In the last cycle, they rewarded Obama. The idea that they represent Israel is one of the biggest jokes in politics.

But Republican Senator Bob Corker enabled it with his Corker Amendment raising the NO threshold to 2/3 on the Iran nuke deal.
Yep. Only Senator Cotton was correct on this. But most Democrats supported it.

1. The Iran deal screwed the Sunni Arabs.
2. the Muslim Brotherhood has been working with Iran for years against America and Israel. In the Middle East, the enemy of your enemy, may yet be a worse enemy of us.
