Social Security is a welfare program. Not a trust fund. Not a lock box. You paid for other people. Other people are paying and will pay for you.
Yeah. Your money for SS was kept in that famous lock box. It’s practically an entitlement. Employers can also monitor your email, btw, for those comparing govt benefits to employment. Unemployment benefits eventually run out. It’s temporary assistance. I’m not in favor of growing the surveillance state and fattening the consulting class.
