WASHINGTON — The speaker of the House, the Senate Intelligence Committee chairman and the ranking Democrat on the committee said Thursday that they’ve seen no evidence of President Donald Trump’s accusation that he was wiretapped last year by his predecessor.
Senate Intelligence Committee chair Richard Burr and ranking member Mark Warner issued a statement Thursday, saying “based on the information available to us, we see no indications that Trump Tower was the subject of surveillance by any element of the United States government either before or after Election Day 2016.”
The statement from the leaders of the Senate Intelligence Committee marks the clearest and strongest refutation of Trump’s allegations since the President first made them two weeks ago. The senators statement also addresses Trump’s more recent statement that he was not merely speaking about wiretapping specifically.

Based on the growing body of evidence from his own mouth, I really have come to suspect that Ryan may be quite a different creature than his promotional publicity suggests.

Amazing how quickly these congressional committees were able to reach this conclusion.
Plausible deniability: Barry strongly requests the UK to do him a favor, spy on The Donald, and report back. So Barry didn't "order it", didn't take it to FISA, didn't have to ask the FBI, NSA, or DoJ, and didn't need a warrant - it was a suggestion to a compliant foreign entity. More false/fake news, or is there something to this? If Barry did this, I think it is somehow tied to the BREXIT/Trump phenomenon.

What about the second FISA warrant issued to tap into the Trump business dealing with the Russian bank?? Is that proof enough? The fact that no evidence sought was found tells me that, to know that, meant there was surveillance at Trump Towers - surveillance of communications and wiretapping are one and the same.

Ryan's pronouncements clearly show his treachery and should open the door for Trump to actively work for his removal. He's the chief slimeball in the swamp that needs draining.

Exactly. How they can make such a statement when the DOJ has not provided them information they have asked for. Their investigation is not over, but that was not included in the statement, nor by the fake news media.
