Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Thursday pushed back on President Trump’s accusation that the Obama administration wiretapped Trump Tower during the 2016 presidential campaign, saying "no such wiretap existed."

"The intelligence committees, in their continuing, widening, ongoing investigations of all things Russia, got to the bottom — at least so far with respect to our intelligence community — that no such wiretap existed," Ryan said during a news conference.

"We've seen no evidence of that," he added when pressed about Trump's claim.

Ryan echoed comments Wednesday from House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), who said of Trump's wiretap accusation, "We don't have any evidence that that took place."

Shortly after Ryan's comments, Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, released a statement with the panel's top Democrat, Sen. Mark Warner (Va.), dismissing Trump's wiretapping claims.

“Based on the information available to us, we see no indications that Trump Tower was the subject of surveillance by any element of the United States government either before or after Election Day 2016," they stated.

Coming soon to a House of Representatives near you:

“Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-INO) has announced his resignation from the House of Representative citing undisclosed health ...”

Fingers crossed.

Ryan will take every opportunity to hobble or throw marbles under Trump’s feet in every controvercy. Ryan wants to run in 2020. He wants Trump out of the way before then. He is an egomaniacal treacherous back-stabbing princeling as bad as anything depicted by Shakespeare.

Anyone check if his mother’s name is Agrippina?

These guys are too funny. As stated Trump put the word wire tap into quotes. That includes all forms of surveillance in my mind and I am sure most people. So not just literally “wiretapping”. I think Ryan is being a little too cute.

It really bothers me that there is an intelligence “community”. I understand Black community, gay community, Latino community. But intelligence community? How are they an interest group?

More on the long history of the UK’s spying on our people and us spying on their people.

UKUSA Agreement
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The UKUSA Community: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States

The United Kingdom – United States of America Agreement (UKUSA, /;/ew-koo-sah)[1][2] is a multilateral agreement for cooperation in signals intelligence between Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The alliance of intelligence operations is also known as the Five Eyes.[3][4][5][6][7]

In classification markings this is abbreviated as FVEY, with the individual countries being abbreviated as AUS, CAN, NZL, GBR, and USA, respectively.[8]

Emerging from an informal agreement related to the 1941 Atlantic Charter, the secret treaty was renewed with the passage of the 1943 BRUSA Agreement, before being officially enacted on 5 March 1946 by the United Kingdom and the United States. In the following years, it was extended to encompass Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Other countries, known as “third parties”, such as West Germany, the Philippines, and several Nordic countries also joined the UKUSA community.[9][10]

Much of the sharing of information is performed via the ultra-sensitive STONEGHOST network, which has been claimed to contain “some of the Western world’s most closely guarded secrets”.[11]

Besides laying down rules for intelligence sharing, the agreement formalized and cemented the “Special Relationship” between the UK and the USA.[12][13]

Due to its status as a secret treaty, its existence was not known to the Prime Minister of Australia until 1973,[14] and it was not disclosed to the public until 2005.

[13] On 25 June 2010, for the first time in history, the full text of the agreement was publicly released by the United Kingdom and the United States, and can now be viewed online.[9][15] Shortly after its release, the seven-page UKUSA Agreement was recognized by Time magazine as one of the Cold War’s most important documents, with immense historical significance.[13]

The global surveillance disclosure by Edward Snowden has shown that the intelligence-sharing activities between the First World allies of the Cold War are rapidly shifting into the digital realm of the Internet.[16][17][18]

Due to its status as a secret treaty, its existence was not known to the Prime Minister of Australia until 1973,[14] and it was not disclosed to the public until 2005.

1. To whom is the Intelligence Community accountable?

2. What is Ryan's IQ? Is it below that of a democrat donkey?

That's a quick Senate and House investigation! It's a world record. They did all their discovery, analysis, calling up witnesses, etc. in one week? REALLY???????

As I just posted in another thread: Paul Ryan simply cannot refrain from making wholly unnecessary comments, which even a fifth grader would know will be used to create wholly unnecessary divisions among Republicans. The President has said evidence of his charge will be forthcoming. If Ryan did not have some sort of anti-Trump compulsion to continuously spout off, he would obviously want to wait and see, what is forthcoming.

Based on the growing body of evidence from his own mouth, I really have come to suspect that Ryan may be quite a different creature than his promotional publicity suggests.

Is he what we discuss as a Trump Hater? His behavior more & more suggests it.

This smug bastard making this announcement twists my shorts. I hope Trump finally wakes up, sees through Ryan’s sneaky deceptions and destroys his career.

It all makes sense if you understand that the GOP Speaker Image and video hosting by TinyPic is playing for the other team and wanted Trump to lose.

Of course they are looking for Wiretap when Trump said “wiretap” with no clue why he used double quotation marks.

All Ryno needs to do is listen to a couple hours of Sean Hannity Radio show or TV show and he will see that he is wrong in his pronouncement, and the House Committee is too.

Leave it to Ryno to lurch out in front and discredit our President.

Ryno has GOTTA GO!!!
