The measure requires presidential and vice presidential candidates to release five years’ worth of federal tax returns in order to appear on the state’s ballot. …

Their state is going down the toilet, due to the Democrat corruption, and they waste their efforts on this “Oh, look! A squirrel!” Crap!

All the use that bill will get is for the New Jersey Assembly to pass it around among themselves as a suppository.

It's clearly unconstitutional.

But since this is nothing more than political kabuki theater by a legislature with too much time on their hands, if I were the governor, I'd veto it with the veto statement that it's a GREAT idea, but should apply to ALL politicians on NJ ballots running for ALL elective offices!

This is an example of mental masturbation, perfected by people like Chuckie Schumer and Pelosi.

Technically the candidate is not “on the ballot”, only the electors are. So does this bill require all the electors to release their tax returns?

Why is this a big deal? What is the worst that could happen? Is there supposedly some way here to “get” Trump? I know that is the desire, but I don’t see any probable outcome.
