A friend of mine got his vw rabbit stuck in the snow and had to leave it all winter on the mountain. We finally got to it in the spring. It had been moved about 100 feet down the hill and was crushed like a beer can. Snow is some heavy stuff. It was a $600 beater so no big loss.
My brother went to college in the Upper peninsula of Michigan, where they get 30-40 feet of snow a year.
One of his room mates would park his truck on a mound of snow. It wasn’t till spring when they discovered that mound of snow was someone’s car. Same thing, pretty much destroyed.
Wow, you just described glacier mechanics!
