I have no problem with high speed trains so long as not one damn dime of taxpayer money is spent on it and land owners are compensated fairly plus a little extra money on top for them.

Me neither but that is not what is happening.. If they want Hi speed Rail go from coast to coast and up and down the east coast and west coast.. Private industry should do this not government.. Make it elevated so it only has a small foot print.. Except where stations are.
