“If Trump adds the 25 million jobs he’s targeted, then he will also add 25 million health care coverages.”

I don’t think it would be quite that high.

Some of those jobs are likely to be contract type employment without benefits, (companies like to do that where it makes sense to help keep costs down)

Some of those jobs will likely be part-time without benefits, (companies like to do that where it makes sense to help keep costs down)

Some of those jobs will likely be second income jobs for a given household with the primary earner carrying the insurance cost.

Some of the newly employed will be hired on a trial basis without immediate access to benefits. Of that number a portion won’t make it past the trial period and will end up unemployed again. That cycle could repeat a time or two before a permanent employee is settled on.

I think the final number gaining new or primary insurance through job creation will be significantly lower than the total number of jobs created.

I believe there are some health insurance plans for the self employed, check Google.
On the 1040 form see:
Line 28: Self-employed SEP, SIMPLE, and qualified plans
Line 29: Self-employed health insurance deduction

Vast majority of US NOT on Obamacare...no kidding - 85% of the people in this country had perfectly good medical coverage before Obamacare came along - more people lost coverage and then had to take new, less desirable policies under the plan than were freshly covered by it - and the majority of those newly covered under the plan were covered by expanded Medicaid rather than by open market policies - Medicaid could have been expanded without Obamacare - the entire 2000 plus page fiasco resulted in coverage for about ten million Americans who were not previously covered and who wouldn't have been covered by the expanded Medicaid provisions - a disgraceful misuse of government......

And a joke to go with the colorful pie chart for Pi day.

Son comes home from college to dad’s farm. Dad asks, “Son, so watcha studying at that there university.?” “I’m studying mathematics, dad.” “Well son, talk to me some of that mathematics then.” “OK dad, pi r square.” “No, no, son, pie are round, cornbread are square.”

The point is not who has what insurance. The point is people who pay zero, zilch, nada consume healthcare at incredibly higher rates. A hospital gets $0.25 reimbursement for every dollar spent providing care. Who gets the other $0.75?
