Judge Nap: Obama 'Went Outside Chain of Command,' Used British Spy Agency to Surveil Trump
foxnews.com ^ | March 14, 2017

Posted on 03/14/2017 7:27:29 AM PDT by Helicondelta

"Three intelligence sources have informed Fox News that President Obama went outside the chain of command," Napolitano said. "He didn't use the NSA, he didn't use the CIA, he didn't use the FBI, and he didn't use the Department of Justice."

Instead, Napolitano said, Obama used GCHQ, a British intelligence and security organization that has 24-7 access to the NSA database.

"There's no American fingerprints on this," Napolitano said. "What happened to the guy who ordered this? Resigned three days after Donald Trump was inaugurated."

Wonder if the initials are VJ?

Even she wouldn’t do it directly.

She would have one of her flunkies talk to one of Lynch’s flunkies.

Lynch is probably involved in some way as per the following:

Chapter 36 of Title 50 of the US Code *War and National Defense”, Subchapter 1, Section 1802, we read the following:

(1) Notwithstanding any other law, the President, through the Attorney General, may authorize electronic surveillance without a court order under this subchapter to acquire foreign intelligence information for periods of up to one year if the Attorney General certifies in writing under oath that—

(A) the electronic surveillance is solely directed at—

(i) the acquisition of the contents of communications transmitted by means of communications used exclusively between or among foreign powers, as defined in section 1801(a)(1), (2), or (3) of this title; or

(ii) the acquisition of technical intelligence, other than the spoken communications of individuals, from property or premises under the open and exclusive control of a foreign power, as defined in section 1801(a)(1), (2), or (3) of this title;

(B) there is no substantial likelihood that the surveillance will acquire the contents of any communication to which a United States person is a party; and

(C) the proposed minimization procedures with respect to such surveillance meet the definition of minimization procedures under section 1801(h) of this title; and
if the Attorney General reports such minimization procedures and any changes thereto to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence at least thirty days prior to their effective date, unless the Attorney General determines immediate action is required and notifies the committees immediately of such minimization procedures and the reason for their becoming effective immediately.

In response to your comment that "This is pretty explosive, if it can be proven.";

My dear sir, please be advised. We are all adults here. This is neither a elementary schoolyard, nor a judicial court. The President does not have to PROVE and Justify any of his actions. He is not playing politics as usual. This is not a media televised event.The President need only get the intel and do what he deems fit with it. He can choose to televise it like a typical politician or can do things behind the curtains. It is his call.

Indeed, Nothing has to be PROVEN. It just has to be ACTED UPON.

Clapper may have done a good job directing intel collection on our enemies.

Having said that, I wouldn’t trust him to watch my dead dog’s grave. We had her put to sleep 3 decades ago.

Much of this started after 9/11, some with good intentions, but it opened Pandora’s Box. Clapper is lying through his teeth.

Well, VJ is supremely arrogant. I don’t doubt she expects to get away with everything. But. Let’s put her under oath and ask her. I’ll bring a chain.

The UK countries spying on Americans and reporting to us and us spying on their people and reporting to them started during the Truman years and through every administration up to 9/11.

GW kicked it up after 9/11.

Then, Obama really abused it.

After Obama, probably everything, we as Americans have said or transmitted digitally has been intercepted by the NSA and stored so our UK allies could address it, and then let us know what was happening.

Only God knows what the CIA has been doing under Brennan and Obama.

Written many a report that included DIRNSA and GCHQ.

Kinda a low blow for Bammy to ask GCHQ to do his dirty work.

Yes, from former ambassador Andrew Wood, passing on MI6 agent Christopher Steele’s information.

If it becomes clear that no US agency spied on a US citizen, but spying did occur, there’s no need for proof — it’s self-evident that the source was outside the Federal government.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Just look up ‘Echelon’ for background info.
This is how the Echelon program had been functioning even during the Clinton years [probably a lot longer than that] — the ‘key word search’ system.
That was how ‘key word’ searches originated — to spy on people via Venona.
We signed ‘spy on each other’ treaties to bypass legal hassles.
If not England, it could have been Australia, Canada, or even a foreign speaking country.
Can that person be ordered to make a statement about who told him to do it?
The person who ran the GCHQ resigned "unexpectedly" three days after Trumps' inauguration for "personal reasons" after only two years on the job. He's now a private citizen in the UK. Chances of him testifying to Congress are between nought and zero.
So they follow the ‘letter of the law’ while totally ignoring the spirit of the law.
That’s disgusting... and totalitarian and the reason they’re liberals.
It will be interesting to see how long Americans stand for this until they take matters into their own hands.
So far nothing...
This is pretty EXPLOSIVE, if it can be PROVEN.
There will never be proof that will stand up in court. We are talking about our spooks here.
How can a foreign gov’t wiretap someone here, anyone?
Everything that goes by wire, cell or internet is recorded, everything. No one reads or listens to everything, computers do that. Then catalog and store it for future needs.
Let’s put her under oath and ask her.
Hillary testified under oath several times, what did we learn? Why, she is innocent of course, because we didn't find anything. Even if she did do something wrong she didn't intend to do anything wrong so it wasn't wrong, get it?
