Former U.S. attorney Preet Bharara Sunday implied that he was fired by President Trump in order to kill an investigation.

Bharara, whose district encompassed Manhattan, was one of 46 U.S. attorneys across the country who had been asked by the Trump administration to resign Friday afternoon.

He refused to resign, setting up a public showdown with the Trump administration. A day later, he announced via Twitter that he had been fired. Then on Sunday, he tweeted a suggestion that his firing had something to do with an effort to squash an investigation.

"By the way, now I know what the Moreland Commission must have felt like," Bharara tweeted Sunday.

It may have not been your friends intention to mislead.

I still believe Bharara has been skillfully camouflaging his politics. IMHO, his actions in regards to not resigning speaks volumes — he had a hidden agenda!

Preet supposedly was to meet with DeBlasio to put a ribbon on corruption probe. Grand jury indictments against DeBlasio were said to be imminent. Then, suddenly, no news at all re: DeBlasio - despite widespread belief he was facing multiple criminal counts. Not sure what happened, since Bharara jailed Sheldon Silver (Lib honcho in NY State Assembly) and Dean Skelos, his GOP counterpart in NY Senate. Cuomo was the third of the three amigos, and looks like he’ll skate too - supposedly to run as a Dem Prez candidate. Perhaps his slow-walking the DeBlasio, et al. case led to his dismissal. I was surprised, but trust Trump’s judgment (so far).

Here is the low down on Preet Bharara that i posted yesterday on the TV talk show thread.IT shows just who this guy is hes a con-man criminal.

...................................................
I just finished an exhaustive study of Preet Bharara a Manhattan prosecutor who was hailed as a rock star by both sides of the aisle. Recently, it was revealed that like his predecessors Att. Gen Sessions and President Trump decided to clean house and fire all the prosecutors like all other incoming presidents do.
Problem is that they had a prior meeting with Bharara at Trump Plaza indicating that he could stay and he,Bharara, even did a press conference after the meeting indicating he planned to stay.
So what happened.
Bharara,an obama appointee, had prosecuted both sides of the aisle like DeBlasio,Cuomo and many others to give the appearance of fair and balanced. He was and still is equally hated by both sides of the aisle.
So what in the world was Trump doing? Why fire the guy especially with an upcoming trial where he was going after the worst mayor in the country Bill DeBlasio?
Seems ironic at best.
But, my rule is never ever second guess Trump. You will always get a sore ass and not be able to sit for at least a week.
It has happened to me 6 or 7 times. So I kept looking.
I found that Bharara had gone after Dinesh D’Sousa unfairly to put it mildly, he refused to go after big bankers, refused to go after Hillary, the foundation maybe pizzagate and Harry Reid.So right there was that enough for Trump to reconsider and get rid of the guy. Something told me there was more and there is.It’s here:
..........................
The Justice Department…for 16 months has engaged in a scheme to undermine Congress’s spending authority by independently transferring dollars to President Obama’s political allies. The department is in the process of funneling more than half-a-billion dollars to liberal activist groups, at least some of which will actively support Democrats in the coming election.
It works likes this: The Justice Department(under obama) prosecutes cases against supposed corporate bad actors. Those companies agree to settlements that include financial penalties. Then Justice mandates that at least some of that penalty money be paid in the form of “donations” to nonprofits that supposedly aid consumers and bolster neighborhoods.
The Justice Department maintains a list of government-approved nonprofit beneficiaries. And surprise, surprise: Many of them are liberal activist groups. The National Council of La Raza. The National Urban League. The National Community Reinvestment Coalition. NeighborWorks America (which awards grants to left-leaning community organization groups, and has been compared with Acorn).

This strategy kicked off with the $13 billion J.P. Morgan settlement in late 2013, though in that case the bank was simply offered credit for donations to nonprofits. That changed with the Citigroup and Bank of America settlements, which outright required $150 million in donations. The BofA agreement contains a provision that potentially tees up nonprofit groups for another $490 million. Several smaller settlements follow the same mold.

So was Bharara a crusader or a bag man for leftist groups? I can’t regard him as a serious impartial reformer if he presided over what amounted to a shakedown to benefit left wing groups like La Raza (“The Race”).
Good riddance.
Too bad for Bharara that he didn’t bring charges against deBlasio when he had the opportunity. That will make a run for mayor less winnable for him.

.....................
So seems Bharara was little more than a slick crook himself funneling hundreds of millions of fines from corps. into far left wing coffers.Game, set,Match, hes done, burnt, take him off the grill and toss him into the can.

Rather than go after all the corruption in NYS government, Bharara prosecuted one Dem and one Republican...a choice that might rightly be called “politically correct.” I also believe that neither convict served any prison time.
