McCain predicts ‘there’s a lot more shoes to drop’ on Trump-Russia connection
The Washington Times ^ | March 12, 2017 | Ben Wolfgan

One of the Senate’s leading Republicans predicted Sunday that there are “a lot more shoes to drop” in the probe of President Trump’s connections to Russia and said Congress must call top Trump associates to Capitol Hill to testify.

Sen. John McCain of Arizona told CNN’s “State of the Union” program that he remains troubled by growing evidence that leading aides to the president communicated with Russia throughout the presidential campaign last year.

He specifically said longtime Trump confidant Roger Stone, who admitted last week to having conversations with the hacking group that claimed responsibility for the breach of Democratic Party emails, must come before Congress to answer questions.

“There’s a lot of things about our relations with Russia that trouble me a lot,” Mr. McCain said. “There’s a lot of aspects of this whole relationship with Russia and Vladimir Putin that requires further scrutiny, and so far I don’t think the American people have gotten all the answers. In fact, I think there’s a lot more shoes to drop from this centipede.”

It’s been revealed that ousted White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and Attorney General Jeff Sessions each had meetings or phone conversations with the Russian ambassador during last year’s campaign.

Democrats and other critics have seized on those communications to make their case that the Trump campaign may have worked with Russian agents during the election, or at least passively let those agents work against Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid.

Specifically, they say the Trump campaign may have encouraged or willingly turned a blind eye to Russian hacks of Democratic Party emails and messages of Mrs. Clinton’s campaign chief, John Podesta. Both email dumps were deeply embarrassing for the Clinton campaign.

This is a shockingly stupid comment. It was the Trump Campaign's job to elect their candidate, not to protect an inept traitor who didn't bother to secure her files.

There are few words I can post that would adequately express my utter revulsion towards McTraitor and all his comrades on both sides of the aisle.

May Julian Assange’s next Vault 7 release give AG Sessions all the documentation for him to arrest, prosecute, convict, etc. them all.

McCain will have more evidence as soon as he’s done manufacturing it.

Trump can release the Vietnam war records of the veterans that Kerry and McCain had declared classical. Of course it also contained their own misdeeds
He knows it just a matter of time

Mccain would rather destroy a man, than back him and save the country. with mccain, it’s all about him and revenge. why didn’t he do this when he was captured... The dems, who are not nice people... don’t do this to their own when they do their dirty work... but republicans turn on a dime and openly dissent from the party and take on each other.

President Trump trumps a senator... face to face with mccain and clue the man in. Respect is short for this President. From my viewpoint, if they could worship obama, as low as he was... it should be no problem to show some respect to Trump.

Joan McCain is a vile, repugnant sorry excuse for a human being. I find him more and more repulsive.

Obviously the late Wiiliam F. Buckley was thinking of the McCains when he said (paraphrasing) I'd rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Phoenix telephone directory than to Senator John McCain.

The best defense against usurpatory government is an assertive citizery. Time to stand up against the enemy of the people.

By the way little Johnny, Roger Stone self proclaimed contact was with Guccifer 2 in tweet. Go read his message, stupid. It was about you!

There’s seditious McCain providing all the fake news that’s fit to print for Obama’s Shadow government.

McCain needs a trip to Syria to visit with DAISH’s decapitation department.

Like President Trump has said: “ He is a loser!”

I detest this man. Obama is a shady character, whose beginnings are still a mystery to anyone who has honest curiosity, but McCain didn’t care about that. His Presidential campaign in 2008 is bigger scam than what this detestable man can ever make up.

So, McCainiac is essentially admitting they have “salted”, fabricated fake-intelligence.

Lar, Team Trump needs a good strategy on this probable outcome.

I’ve noticed it too. Graham has essentially bailed on McCainiac.

McCainiac has doubled-down, but Graham seems to understand who will win this one.

My cousin at one time was directly involved in the late health care of Barry Goldwater. I’ll have to ask him about the codger thinking process.

John McCain is 80 years old. It would be nice if he would retire, but I doubt it. I think he sees his mission as “fixing” America.
