Very much so.

Read Lazamataz’s BRILLIANT Free Republic—exclusive—essay on the Elites versus the normal. Sums up how the election season was won (the essay was before the Trump/Sanders phenomenon) and why Trump is president, too.

Laz, you got a link to that essay?

As usual you are correct Ryan should never have been speaker.I've told that story before, seems Ryan didn't want anything to do with the speaker ship for years. All of a sudden he spends a weekend with Mitt Romney, and being speaker doesn't look so bad. Means Ryan had a price and Mitt found out what it was and got the cabal to pay it.So now we have Ryan as speaker.

The number two man under Boehner, Kevin McCarthy, who was very well liked had to back out of the running for Speaker, since he wouldn't give up his girl friend who is also a rep in the House.

Makes you wonder why we don't have term limits in a place so full of dubious legislators.

The Reps will fight harder and dirtier against their fellow Reps than they ever would against the Dems. The Reps must close ranks and prove they can govern. The Dems just don’t have these problems because they are used to governing.

You are not wrong! Cotton is the worst politician I have ever seen. Tagged as a great conservative mind it’s a darn shame the guy does not have any political expertise at all.
Perhaps he could review a few thousand threads here at FR and learn what his job really entails.

Yesterday I didn't see how he could have any political aspirations at all since the guy seemingly is hated by both sides of the aisle.

Today I get it. He's a slimy bagman for the far left. Makes him a perfect dem candidate for NYC mayor.

Yeah Sessions probably got an earful and then some about Preet! I didn’t get the firing at all yesterday. Today it’s all too apparent and justified.

He is the handsomest congress critter of them all.

Just a passing thought.

He is often wrong about stuff, as I see it.

If someone wants to post it, that's fine; I won't. We went through this years ago; some wanted me to post the McLaughlin Group, others wanted Chrissy Matthews old show, and there were a few more. Finally, after much debate, we settled on the big three broadcasters--ABC, CBS and NBC and the two cable shows: Fox (actually, FNS is broadcast, too) and CNN.

I put some work into ensuring, to the best of my ability, an accurate list of the guests on these shows. It isn't much work now that I have a system and Bing to search and confirm the list.

I do not want to work harder than that. I'm sorry. Cut me some slack and help out!

Anyone who wants that list or any other; just go ahead and post it, as was done this morning in post # 7.

I'm sure I and others will be grateful.

Exactly, and the desperate need for term limits needs to be screamed to everyone everywhere. Without getting rid of these slimy politicians who make significant careers out of what should be govt. service the country is in deep doo doo.

The “Fox fired Shep” fakenews story went around on FR for a few hours too. It was fun while it lasted.

Of course they are trotting out that loser Kay Such - he will be one of the biggest Governor losers if Medicaid is cut to the states. He - like my Jan Brewer then Gov of AZ - thought Why shouldn't I take that FREE money from Uncle Sam - it will get me votes from the victim class?

This so reminded me of Bubba 'pedophile' Klintoon and his 100,000 new cops on the street. The Fed money disappeared after a couple of years and in my community most of them were laid off.

Yes, Bharara had to go. Perhaps if he was very close to hanging de Blasio they may have let him finish the cases, but after that; b-bye.

My understanding is Schumer was granted a favor by DjT in agreeing to keep Preet, but then Schumer went ugly with Russia etc. on DjT. Deal off.

From your description, Hoft has civil claims against Fox’s Jon Decker. Rather than [only] appeal to Bret Baier, Hoft should sue Decker for money damages using the civil torts of assault, battery and defamation.

Interesting. I wonder if McConnell's wife, Ms. Chao, will keep her position.
