Dutch authorities declared a Turkish cabinet minister an "undesirable alien" and escorted her from Rotterdam to the German border on Saturday, in a row over Ankara's political campaigning among Turkish emigres, leading President Tayyip Erdogan to brand its fellow NATO member a "Nazi remnant".

It is no coincidence that the Dutch Government is suddenly so tough on a foreign national who is interfering in Dutch policy. It’s right before the election, in which Geert Wilders is expected to make big gains in power. This phony toughness will be replaced with mealy-mouthed obsequiousness as soon as the powerful have secured their power, through means fair or foul.

They should tell Erdogan they'll "have more flexibility after the election."

Erdogan will take this like a wet spit in the eye and a slap in the face.

It’s what he deserves so I fail to see a problem.

So true. The ruling parties’ decades of treasonous open-border immigration policies have imported the poison of Islam into a once safe country. The fact that Wilders needs 24/7 police protection is evidence enough of the destruction already done to Dutch society.

Lets hope Geert Wilders does well on Wednesday.

There’s a Wikipedia page that lists polling data for the Dutch election.

The 150 seats are allocated on a proportional basis. so there’s a whole bunch of parties splitting the vote.

The latest “Peil” poll out yesterday March 10th shows the party of the Prime Minister Mark Rutte, the VVD (Liberals) at 24 seats, the party of Geert Wilders, the PVV (Party of Freedom) at 22 seats.

Also in the running for top spots, the CDA (Christian Democratic Appeal) at 22 seats and the GL (Green Left) at 20 seats.

We should close all Mexican consulates and let them have an embassy in DC only. Those consulates just cause trouble

Yes, they got tough because Geert made a big issue about it and got the Dutch people aroused. Rutte normally has no backbone, he’s just doing this because of the elections. I hope the people see through this farce on Rutte’s part and vote for Geert.

I really hope Geert does better than the polls show. I hope the polls are wrong just like they were with Trump.

Erdogan is hoping for big rallies in Europe to get support for the referendum in Turkey 16APR2017 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_constitutional_referendum,_2017

He is planning to make Turkey an Islamist state. If there will be violence at the rallies in Europe he will use it to get more domestic votes. This means that it is in the interest of Turkey to have violence. One of his opponents, PKK, will get more Kurdish support if there are violence. PKK is supported by Russia that is intrested to stir up problems abroad especially against US/EU.

Expect more violence the coming month.

The Dutch are stubborn people once you piss them off, and the Turkish government interfering in Dutch elections is sure way to do that.
