Prosecuting D’Souza was his job but the process and outcome were exceedingly partisan.

It was extremely overdone because of what D'Souza uncovered and put out there.

This smarmy fed attorney did NOT do his job of bringing his cronies/fellow travelers to justice.

He and Schumer can have a love fest of hugs now.

When a US Attorney is handed a job, he has two choices, either get busy with it or resign.

So yes, it was his job.

Any sane person would have said the D’Souza case was less than a slap on the wrist. Pay a small fine and a few weeks of community service. But the Obama DOJ was not a sane place. It was a vindictive place.

Why Bharara pursued the D’Souza case with such intensity is a mystery. You and I are not privy to exactly what went on. There’s a story there that is not understood. There’s a story because the same Bharara also would not relent on his pursuit of the Weiner-Abedin case.

The best that circumstantial facts point to is that Bharara was caught in the crossfire between FBI agents, Congress (Schumer), Holder and Lynch.

Perhaps the truth is that Bharara tried to do what so many fail at which is to please everyone. In a setting so liberal as NYC, he was bound to fail no matter what he did.

The reason your comments are not getting a gold medal BTTT here is because you’re presenting only one side in a NY liberal setting. It’s easy to throw spitballs at Bharara, he most assuredly deserved some of that for the intensity with which he hammered away at D’Souza. But D’Souza also had a defense attorney who could have traded winks, nods, and a plea with Bharara. Where was this defense attorney? Who was the judge? There’s where a large part of the story resides.

Bharara has a story to tell and it can’t be credible unless he comes clean. Now that he’s no longer a federal employee, maybe he will have time to reflect on what’s really important in life.

There are some FBI agents that were said to have gone ballistic when the pressure came down from the top for Bharara to drop the Weiner-Abedin case.

I imagine these FBI folks were very pleased that Bharara stood up against the Obama regime and refused to drop the case.

Those FBI folks need to find a writer to tell the story, or one of them can retire and write the story with some help. The same writer could pull in both these FBI folks and Bharara to write an accurate portrayal of the events.
