First off: there is the extremely lawful option of not spending money if none is appropriated for a given purpose.
Obama’s lawlessness, among many really, was that he spent money not appropriated.
It is not a delegated power of the federal to provide healthcare for the general population.
So, yes.
People’s circumstances, no matter how dire, are not amendments to the Constitution nor delegations of power for the federal to meet their needs.
No delegated power = no right to even speak to the issue in Rule or Regulation, never mind taxation or appropriations.
Ryan is a true-blue GOP elite and RINO.
I can’t say what his beliefs actually are, but he will support the uniparty and its values above all.
So let us just Obamacare as it is, since they say we can’t get the votes. And then everyone’s healthcare cost will go up and the blame will still go to the Dems who won’t vote to completely repeal it. Meanwhile, entrepreneurs will get working to have their free market solutions lined up.
Then once it is repealed, we let market forces do its thing. Hospitals have printed menus to be more competitive. People purchase just what they need. And it is understood, healthcare does not come from the government, but from individuals and their families, or if they so chose, from a pool of their choice.
Because the Grand Old Party is the same as the Dems: interested in controlling other people. Or compromised for money or kinky sex.
Rand Paul gets it. He must remember that old piece of animal skin he swore an oath to defend.
They’re luciferians just like their supposed opponents.
Can you cite the delegated power given the federal to levy a tax on not obeying a Rule or Regulation?
To be more specific: how is that not properly called a “fine”, for which due process is to be had?
I havent heard anyone explain why it would be impossible to revert back to basically right before Obamacare and start from there.
Do you remember once upon a time we used to wonder what if, during his presidency, there is proof Obama was never eligible? Would all of his laws etc become invalid? Well? How would that have ever happened, if they can’t even overturn Obamacare from the voters who obviously want it gone? Would they have been, like now, all stepping on their weenies, and just say, ohhhhh, it’s all tooooo entrenched, weeee caaaaaaan’t?
The simple reason is that they realize that their governing base includes a lot of people who depend on it... Particularly in a handful of states.
“I do not understand Trump’s support for this bill.”
That’s exactly why I asked, because I’ve received two emails in two days from the “White House” expressing his support of Ryan’s bill. Ryan proved himself untrustworthy long ago.
We should go back to pre-”Obamascare.”
Still baffled.
Yup. K Street lobbyists have their fingerprints all over this monstrosity.
BINGO
Do you seriously think that Trump has 51 votes for repeal? Are you insane or maybe you just can’t count?
McCain, Linda. So much for repeal.
“like Mr Halfways, in the Pilgrims Regress”
Nice analogy. Forgot about that one. Good story by C.S. Lewis for those who aren’t familiar.
Democrats are leftists
Republicans are liberals
Then there’s us
Because they’re statists too, and they really do believe that we “have nowhere to go.”
This pile of garbage is going to have trouble getting passed.
Let it implode and the legacy of Barack Obama.
GET GOVERNMENT OUT of healthcare. You want something to cost more, subsidise it.
They have the votes, it already happened, several times in the house.. So maybe I can’t count and you can’t remember what has already happened. But thanks for being such a respectful sweetie..wink.
Every tax and subsidy could be repealed today. Some of the regs not so much. They are simply delaying it and doing nothing, because they value reelection over the principles they ran on.
