Miami Beach Police are taking a stand against thousands of rowdy college students who flock to South Beach for Spring Break and trash the sandy shores with litter from their epic partying. Across the country, city officials of coastal destinations are bracing for a storm of twenty-somethings to descend upon their beaches for weeks of drinking, dancing and mischief.

I hate it when daily mail moderates the comments. None of the really good ones get through.

Myrtle Beach proper was never the place to go, OD was the happening scene.

Haven’t been back there in decades, it is probably as bad as these pics now.

These are the same BLM/SJWs that will be rioting in the streets again later this spring and summer.

Just another reason why these 20-somethings must earn their way into college, and earn their way through college.

That means work, and lots of it. Physical labor for money, and actually reading, researching, and studying for grades. Leaving little time or desire for nonsense.

Serious students still party and rabble-rouse (to a certain extent), but it’s done in a civilized manner without malice, and they leave the place as they found it.

My pals and I used to do spring break in Florida too. But we did it scuba diving in the spectacular springs scattered around the state, very carefully avoiding the regular spring break pits. It’s not a good idea to dive drunk.

Having taught AAs in a SCHOOL OF CHOICE school district at every level, elementary, MS, HS, I believe I speak with some authority that as a whole, they are a culture that is over-sexed and under-educated and VALUES that status. Beware the school of choice option, which sounds good on paper, but which in reality spreads failure to successful schools both academically and socially from the standpoint of behavioral and safety issues. Your suburban MS and HS will have an established police presence within its walls when the out of district population reaches a critical mass.

It’s funny (in a not so funny way), when I attended college, 67 - 71 only the really rich kids went “somewhere” for Easter Break. The rest of us went home or camped out in the dorms.

Interesting post. I never thought about it that way. All sorts of schools could be forced to take vouchers from all walks of life, for better or worse.
