You were expressing “your personal views,” nothing more. I know you are “sure” that your “understanding” is the “correct one.” And perhaps it is, and perhaps it isn’t, since everything you “know” is simply based on “your faith.” I am “faithful” to those religious tenets that I have been taught or learned over my nearly 77 years on this earth, but I choose not to try and ram them down someone else’s throat. He is only “sanctimonious” in your view, and it is the height of arrogance for you to simply assume that you are right and he is wrong. This has nothing to do with “honoring God,” or that He is our Creator and that Christianity is the bedrock of the foundation of this country.
