Colo. Megachurch Sees 'Phenomenal' Growth in Its Hispanic Congregation [70% undocumented]

A Colorado megachurch's Hispanic congregation is seeing immense growth, so much so that they will be adding another Sunday service for them to meet.

New Life Church of Colorado Springs' Nueva Vida congregation will begin to offer an additional worship service starting this coming Sunday.

Brady Boyd, senior pastor of New Life Church, told The Christian Post that having to add a second service was "really phenomenal" and testified to the "obviously great leadership" for the Spanish-speaking congregation.

"Tons of new people flooding into the church right now," noted Boyd, who explained that in addition to Latinos, "English-speaking people are showing up there, which is a new phenomenon for them."...

"Nueva Vida is about 30 percent documented, legal citizens and about 60 to 70 percent [who are] in some kind of process, they may be here without a green card, they may be in the process, so they're undocumented," explained Boyd.

"I think a lot of the anxiety and a lot of the uncertainty is adding to their spiritual hunger right now and we're honored that we're able to minister to them and to pastor them and they're flooding into the church."..

You have to wonder who is funding this megachurch? It sure isn't the "undocumented." This is the church founded by Ted Haggard, who was brought down by a homosexuality-drugs scandal.

Not for long. They’re going home soon (and I don’t mean to the Lord).

I’ve always said we lost Colorado because of the illegal population that are permitt To vote..the next state on the chopping block will be Arizona in next presidential election! At least here in Texas governor Abbot is doing what needs to be done to catch illegal voter fraud in our state.

Easy pickings but, once again, ICE is nowhere to be found.

"...in some kind of process, they may be here without a green card, they may be in the process, so they're undocumented," explained Boyd.

What a bunch of double talk. Hopefully they will soon be in the process of being deported.

This is a good thing.

We’re talking about two separate things. On the one hand, there is the policy discussion about immigration. I’m of the mind that legally they must go home if they aren’t legal and aren’t able to become legal.

Separate from that is the spiritual discussion. They need Christ, and they are turning to him. This is a good thing. If in the end they return to their home country, they will need God’s help making the move and holding their families together. And arriving there, finding work and a home, and then going on with their lives. Stay or go they need God’s help and guidance. They need to know him maybe in a way deeper than they have known him previously.

They always did need that, but usually it takes a crisis to get your attention.

And in the end, if they do have to leave, there is nothing wrong with a church helping them get reestablished in their home country.

My church combined with an Hispanic church that was losing its place of worship. I’m in California.

I feel like my Christian worldview and my political worldview are colliding right now.

I feel the most sorry for kids in the middle of this.

I’m praying that those that are here illegally do the right thing.

The only thing really bothering me is church members turning a blind eye to the illegal activity.

Somewhere in the back of my mind, I’m wondering if there’s some reason for them to believe that this particular church will offer them sanctuary from deportation.

Separate from that is the spiritual discussion.
= = =

If they really find Christ (and not just another form of ‘welfare’) He will guide and help them through their journey and life back in Mexico, if that happens.

LOL! Fear of deportation and losing all those government freebies and handouts has brought them back to Jesus.

So, this “church” harbors illegals eh?

Sounds like an apostate Seeker-friendly church in the mold of Rick Warren and Joel Osteen.

2 Timothy 3:5
They have a form of godliness by deny it’s power.
