Megyn Kelly grew tired of combative hard news reporting and now wants to help people the way Oprah did on her new NBC show, sources tell Page Six.
After signing a deal with NBC worth between $12 million and $15 million, Kellys plans for her new show have been shrouded in secrecy.
NBC brass are interviewing executive producers in the hopes that Kelly will debut in September at either 9 or 10 a.m. in front of a live studio audience.
A source told us, There was a lot of tough news to report on her show at Fox News. A lot of combative interviewing, going after people. Doing that every night was difficult. Megyn feels she has more to offer. She wants to help people the way Oprah did, and do something more positive. Shell be focusing on issues and bringing in real people as well as celebrities. Plus, she has a sense of humor and she wants to use that.
Kelly told Variety in 2015, Barbara Walters has retired, Diane Sawyer left her anchor role. Oprah has moved to the OWN network and is doing a different thing now. So why not me? The source added, Megyn will have the Sunday night show on NBC to scratch that itch. Thats where youll see the big interviews and stories.

Out of sight, out of mind.
People like Oprah...
And over here on your left we have the estrogen swamp...no one ever gets out but it’s okay because they are happy just to wallow...
Oprah was successful because she was and, despite being a billionaire, is relatable. Megyn? Not likeable and certainly, cannot relate to a lawyer who first used her sex to get her job, and then the threat of a sexual harrassment suit to get a promotion.
I don’t “SEE” her at all. Don’t even know what station she is on, and don’t care. “She coulda been a contender” but she blew it with her superego and snide remarks.
The second question is who will Megyn Kelly pick to be her “best friend”?, her “Gayle King”. This should be a great story to watch.
I am not sure she will do as good as Katie Couric has done. I suspect she will fall even farther. Libs won’t watch her because of her history at Fox and we won’t watch her because she is too self centered and wants to be the story, not tell the story.
I want a pony, but that ain’t happenin’ either.
The next Oprah? I thought Rachel Dolazel was already in line.
Drowned? Face down in Riki Lake?
Wonder how she’ll look once she puts on 80-100 pounds.
I think you nailed it. Oprah has a soul and audiences respond to that.
She will have to change her name to Megyn Rachel Dolezal Kelly, and hit the tanning booth, makeup counter, hair stylist, and buffet.
Who gives a rat’s a$$ about what happens to the bitch??
“3 to 5 years?” I’m hoping that it is sooner, by far, than that!
It’s not the ass, it’s the race....believe it or not!
