Remember Goliad and remember the Alamo. I have an idea. Why don’t you get a job for spring break and earn your own money?

Remember the Alamo!

Reminds me of the airplane joke.

A passenger jet was on its way from Orlando to Cancun when it ran into a sudden very intense storm. The plane was being shaken very badly, but the pilot came on the intercom and said - nothing to worry about folks.

The shaking continued and the plane was stuck by lightining. The pilot came on the intercom again and said. We've lost an engine on the starboard side, but we have three more - nothing to worry about.

Then the passengers noticed smoke pouring from an engine on the port side. The pilot came on the intercom again and said well we're in a bit of trouble folks another engine caught on fire, but the automatic fire suppression system worked and the fire is out we should be able to make it. We still have two engines.

The storm meanwhile intensified even more. After a bit the pilot came on again, and said, we're losing power on our remaining starboard engine, but if we jettison the luggage we should be OK. Don't worry, the airline will compensate you for your lost items.

The storm got even worse, and the pilot came on and said, because we've lost two engines, power in the third is dropping we're being forced to descend lower, and the storm effects are worse at this altitude, but if we don't have any more power loss we should be able to make it safely to the airport.

After a bit the pilot came on again and said sorry folks, but we're still losing power, and if we can't lighten the plane any more we're all going to crash in the gulf. We've already thrown out everything that wasn't bolted down and I'm going to have to ask some of you passengers to volunteer to jump out. we'll give you a life vest and a locator beacon, but the odds aren't good

At this point a Frenchman, and Englishman and a Texan volunteered.

The Frenchman put on the vest yelled "Vive la France" and jumped. The Englishman put on the vest yelled "God save the queen" and Jumped. The Texan got up and yelled "Remember the Alamo" and threw out two Mexicans.
