All of February was warm for us. Now we get Indian Winter. What do you consider the beginning of Spring and when does it usually happen?

I am more comfortable with who I am now more that I was when I was younger.

Same here. We're lucky to have grown up to be people we like. If we can't like ourselves, we can't expect others to like us, right? :-)

I always have celebrated my first sighting of a robin as the beginning of spring.

Glad you’re doing well. We’re still hangin’ in there like hair in a biscuit.

Spring can’t be too far off for y’all. I saw that Ezra and Big Red, the pair of red-tailed hawks that nest on the Cornell campus, have started getting their nest ready. Soon you’ll be able to go outside every day and be comfortable. Not much fun going out all bundled up.

A good soaker would do a world of good. It seems like the only way to get those any more - there and here - is for a tropical storm or hurricane to come up from the Gulf and we don’t want that.

Seems like we can’t win for losin’, doesn’t it?

Exactly...and I’m SO over trying to please everyone! One more good reason for being retired. I don’t have people trying to boss me...I’m not good at being bossed. LOL! Stubborn redhead streak, I guess.

I’ve seen robins early in February. They usually beat what I call Spring by a few weeks. For me, it’s the blooming of the forsythia and applying the pre emergent fertilizer, which was last Sunday. Normally it would be next weekend.

I stopped trying to please everyone long ago. No way we can please everyone so concentrate on those who really count in our lives. Take us as we are or go on your merry way.
That’s my redhead attitude.
Used-to-be-redhead any-hoo. Too many cats and Aunt Clara have added quite a bit of silver. LOL

Good evening, henkste4r...((HUGS))...we had beautiful sunny, blue sky mid 20s today, but single digits tonight.

Maybe spring is giving some thought to coming, or at least visiting. But I hate thaw and freeze.

Are you still having a mild winter?

Hi Kathy. Winter was mild but March is going start frigid. So I’ll ask you the same Q of the night: What do you consider to be the first sign of Spring, and when does it usually happen?

Oh, the outward red is long gone here, too. But as hubby says, I still have red roots and they do come out when I’m pushed into a corner. LOL!

Are y’all still expecting snow over the weekend?
